Overview

The BR-240A offers traditional sound and feel at prewar prices. Crafted with a select solid Adirondack spruce top, hand-carved X-bracing, choice solid mahogany back and sides, ebony fingerboard, ebony bridge, and a traditional dovetail neck joint for pure Golden Era tone. 18-style binding and inlay work along with a floral-design pearl inlay on the headstock and aged finish complete the vintage look. The slim mahogany neck and traditional dreadnought body make it a truly enjoyable guitar to play. The Prewar Series offers authentic vintage style with strict adherence to prewar instrument specifications.

Blueridge is an offshoot of the South San Francisco-based Saga Musical Instrument Company. Blueridge specializes in "traditional" guitars that offer today's player vintage styling with modern performance at a level of quality and price that compares favorably to historic guitars. Each instrument is the result of detailed research and is carefully crafted at the Blueridge factory. Consistency is evident throughout, from the fretwork to the intricate inlays that adorn each Blueridge headstock.

Comments about Blueridge Prewar Series BR-240A Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar:

I've played guitar for a lot of years, sometimes in bands, or just an occasional jam session, lately for my own personal enjoyment. I've always enjoyed flatpicking tunes and wanted to get a decent acoustic, since I'm retired I needed one that doesn't break the bank! After extensive research I settled on the BR 240A. It has exactly what I was looking for ..great tone, playability and looks! I'm looking forward to many good years of use with this quality instrument.

Comments about Blueridge Prewar Series BR-240A Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar:

I love this thing to death! I play a lot of Bluegrass and was heavily considering a Martin d18 but like I said I play Bluegrass so I don't have a lot of money. Really happy with my decision to go with the 240A instead. It sounds every bit as good as a D18 for half the price. You won't regret it.

Comments about Blueridge Prewar Series BR-240A Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar:

Just purchased this guitar and a case to go with it. It sounds absolutely AMAZING! I wouldn't trade it for ten Martin's. Do yourself a favor and buy one! It literally thumps when you strum it. Great Bluegrass guitar.
