Comments about Blueridge BR-163A Adirondack Top Craftsman Series 000 Acoustic Guitar:

I bought my Blueridge BR 163 A and put on DR rare light gauge strings. I was not expecting the sound that came out of this guitar. I am a tone freak to say the least. We have shops near by that carry lots of Martins. I was so shocked at how good this guitar was I took it to A B it with $4000.00 to $8000.00 Martins. There was nothing in OO or OOO in the $4000.00 price range that touched this guitar. There was an $8000.00 custom shop Martin that gave it the nod but I can tell you honestly that I would not trade this particular guitar for a $4000.00 OO Martin. It is that good. It is more open sounding, the bass is just as good and it is far more nuanced than the Martins.,. and talk about loud. This guitar is louder than my Eastman E10 D dred and my E20 D. One thing I love about this guitar is the highs. The notes are so rich and sweet that I can't believe they can produce a guitar like this for the price. The harmonics at the 5th fret are as clear as the 12th fret and also above the fret board an inch or so into the sound hole. They're crystal clear. The only thing I changed were the tuning machines and the bridge pins. I play in lot's of different tuning's in live situations so I need Gotoh 501 21:1 tuners. I also put bone bridge pins in. I've been playing over 30 years at a very high level and I've owned every high end guitar you can think of. The Blueridge BR 163 A is a gem of guitar and a steal at any price. Don't hesitate to buy one.

Comments about Blueridge BR-163A Adirondack Top Craftsman Series 000 Acoustic Guitar:

I searched and searched for an affordable guitar most like a Martin 000-28 or OM-28. The Blueridge BR-163A comes closer to the mark than anything else I've found. I love this guitar! Set up great right out of the box, stays in tune, necks feels great, bright rich tone, and it is beautiful on top of all that. Plus, it is $2000 cheaper. I own American made Gibsons, Martins and Fenders, so I have a good base to compare this guitar to. This is the only guitar I've been playing since I got it a month ago. A pleasure to play. I would recommend buying the "A" Adirondack model when you choose to buy a Blueridge. I remember being blown away at the sound when I first played it out of the box. It was louder than I anticipated. I would definitely buy another Blueridge based on this product.
