Great mic as a step up

By

from Columbus Ohio

I would recommend this mic to anyone who wants to step up to a more professional level microphone. Its not a u87, but it is a great mic for the price. Sounds especially good on vocals and tube guitar amps. Catches a lot of the overtones for a great sound. I also use this as a room mic for drums, and although I am not usually a fan of room mics, this mic made me change my mind. This is definitely a huge step up from the baby bottle which is what I had before. Once again, if you aren't ready to spend 3 grand on a mic, but you want something nicer than a starter mic, this is a great choice. Also because it is multi pattern it gives you way more versatility than other mics in this price range. The capsule based off the same capsule the kiwi uses. Overall a great mic that can do a lot. This is my go to mic in the studio.
