    Comments about Blue Kiwi Microphone:

I use this microphone as the main vocal mic in my professional recording studio. The mic is very clean and versatile. I would say its pretty neutral sounding but smooth. I believe it's versatile for any micing situation. The polar pattern dial could be better designed, maybe raised a bit more to make it easier to turn and up higher on the capsule away from the shockmount. Speaking of the shockmount, I own two other Blue mics (Bluebird, Baby Bottle) with the same shockmount and I don't like them. They don't stay put. They should have designed them with teeth so that when you set the mic angle you can have confidence it won't slip. As it is if you bump into the mic stand they'll slip. If you have it set and plug/unplug a cable or use the pattern selector they'll slip. The Kiwi is a big mic and it's heavy. Blue needs to address this. However, their mics are all very good to excellent and they look cool too. You can't dismiss that if you have a pro studio. Clients dig them.

    Comments about Blue Kiwi Microphone:

The Kiwi gives life to any recording! Vocals, acoustic instruments, pianos, and drums will take on a life of their own when touched by the kiwi's modern tone and sparkling top end!. Class A electronics ensure an output stage with virtually no coloration, and the precision B6 capsule borrowed from supercharged versatility!

BLUE KIWI one of the best

    By Ur Favorite

    from Baltimore,md

    Comments about Blue Kiwi Microphone:

pretty impressive mic,i found it to be alot better than the blue blueberry,i sold the blueberry once i found this mic,You cant lose with this one,you can use it for i wanna say 9 different patterns, from directional to omni directional, one of those 9 settings will work for you lol, Since i bought this mic i only use 2 plugins where as i use to have to use about 4 or 5. Honestly i use to record on a $40 radioshack mic and through plugins i can pretty much make a mic sound like any mic thats out here but i prefer not to have to go through all the work it takes, its time consuming and also it hogs alot of cpu, make mixing easier for yourself and buy one of these lol

    Outstanding Mic

    By aj

    Comments about Blue Kiwi Microphone:

I am a Blue fan of sorts, I was partial to Blue's Mouse for commercial/TV voiceover until I got this one. A nice full big clear sound...I still love my Mouse for heavily processed radio voiceover, but the Kiwi is my mic of choice for high quality TV and production voiceover every time!

    The best of the best

    By Twister

    from California

    Comments about Blue Kiwi Microphone:

BLUE microphones are hand made right here in the US. That says something to me. I have two KIWI's and two baby bottles and I find am finding that 99% of my recordings are mic'd with these four mics. There is a reason Windham Hill artists use these to record accoustic guitars. The KIWI is an amazing mic for vocals too, the high end is beautiful, the sybillance is smooth and it captures the low end accurately and smooth. I dunno- don't just take my word for it. 9 polar patterns to boot. That is like the clincher. Just starting out and want one mic that will do just about everything and do it exceptional? This is the mic. You will not be disappointed. Buy it over the Neumann

Great mic with a sweet sound

    By reclude

    Comments about Blue Kiwi Microphone:

I use the Blue Kiwi everyday in my recording studio for voice, 2nd kick mic, amp micing (with 20db pad to get it closer), acoustic guitar, and even room or overhead uses for drums. I have actually used this when recording vocals for NAS, Bizzy Bone, and Bow Wow, and it has become a staple to the success of our studio. The sound was professional and all the clients were pleased how the mic would pick up gentle nuances of the high end without being harsh at all. I am in the process of buying another and I will use them both for stereo overheads and many other applications.
