NEW REVIEW - Blue enCORE 200

We purchased 4 of these for our small church and we love them. I have a Shure Beta 87A that I love. I was surprised to find that this mic, the Blue enCORE 200 is very similar in quality, sound, and feel. My likes: sound quality is great; solid feel to it; unique look; picks up from a quite a distance. My dislikes: can feed back easily, but proper placement of speakers/monitors can stop that.

Very Nice Microphone

I went out on a limb and bought this mic based on positive reviews from others. This mic is very well built -- higher quality than other similar value mics. The sound is very true and consistent across the low and high range. It does not seem to add any coloration to one's voice. Great clariy and dynamic. Feedback was almost non existent. Microphone is extremely quiet and does not cause "pops" even when singing close to the mic. It does not feel "strained" when volume is turned up. Handling is top notch, maybe a bit heavy for some but I like the feel. I do not give it five stars due to the fact that I have not tried all the MICS out there but it beats all the Shures, EV's, Seinheisers that I have tried. For the price, it's the best mic overall that I have come across. Makes me want to get their condenser mics for recording.

Bleu encore 200

I have been recording for 20 years now and have a project studio. I have just about every type of mic available. When I saw this Blue encore 200 I had to try it. I'll go a bit out on limb here but for a vocal mic at this price you cannot afford not to have one. The best sounding hand held I have ever used. Even amatuers will sound pro. A good channel strip is key to shaping the sound-but at least the underlying quality is there to start with

impressive!

I was working with a singer this weekend whose voice had a hard time cutting through the mix at a smaller venue with all kinds of acoustic challenges. Tried many different ways to boost his vocal up, but it just wasn't cutting it. Luckily I was able to get him to put his lucky mic away and give this a try. I had to talk it up a bit, but actually, it was the first time I was giving it a try, which did nothing but put the pressure on. End result? Clean- His voice cut right through without any adjustments, and he sounded silky. I had no idea this mic would work so well. The whole active dynamic thing made me nervous- And at the end of the night, I was happy, and he was happy and ready to permanently replace his lucky mic.
