NEW REVIEW - Love This Mic!

I needed a mic for an outdoor wedding and was ready to purchase an SM58, but after ready many online reviews, I decided to try the Blue Encore 100. The Encore made my little StagePas system sound great without much EQ at all. I decided to take it to church the next day where I lead the music and compare it to our SM58's which I have always loved. The difference was immediately apparent. The Blue made it much easier to hear my vocals in the monitors and the FOH sound guys loved it. Great job, Blue!

NEW REVIEW - Great mic

When your sound guy loves what's coming out of the mic, you know it's a winner! This mic does blow the rest away and my vocals come out great. I use it at church since some of the mics we have are old and falling apart. It is top heavy so I tightened the mic clip it came with to solve that problem. Looks fantastic. Great construction. Blue did a great job.

Very Nice

I just recieved my mic today and had to put it to work. Upon holding the mic I was impressed; it's a tank. Very solid and heavy duty. I ran it thru my pa with zero eq just to see its natural frequency. I found it to be a warm mic with a nice high range. I hear a nice mid to high-mid cut which works well on my voice (male). I would recommend this mic for all live or basic recording use especially for its price. You can't go wrong!

Goodbye SM58 forever

Had my first shows this weekend with the new Blue Encore 100. All I can do is smile - it has permanently replaced my SM58. A few highlights to mention: hardly no bleed whatsoever! I use a vocal looper (DL4) for my harmonies and normally pick up bleed from my drummer, couldn't hear any now - the off-axis rejection is phenomenal. My favorite feature can be best described as - your vocals simply come out of the PA, no longer does it sound or feel like your vocals--->mic--->PA. Astounding. The clarity, detail, and projection is something that has to be heard - no: felt to believe. You cannot beat this, I promise! I highly suggest at least mogami cables to pick up the dynamics and nuances that this mic displays. Just to test the mic, I went to my friends show and had him sing a set through it. He uses a much more expensive mic, and although it was not as "hot" (100 is non-powered) the clarity, precision, and intelligibility was obvious. One last thing to mention - this mic is BLING - you could wear it around your neck on breaks and people would be blinded. I would rate it 100 stars. Thanks Blue!

Shocked

It looked really different and the sales guy said it was cool so I figured why not give it a shot. The next day, I bought 3 more. This isn't a subtle difference from an SM58. It clearly is a superior mic in look and sound. It comes with a canvas sorta bag which makes me wonder why everyone else keeps making these leather pouches. I think Blue hit it on the head with this one. Thanks for making my life easier.
