Crystal sound, crisp highs and the ability to get that much needed low end. The best studio monitors for the price.

Blue Sky EXO 2.1 Great Value

By bilco

from Austin, Texas

I can definitely hear the low end in a way that my KRK Rokit 5s never provided. The clarity and detail in the high end is amazing. I have not even done the proper setup to find the optimum sub placement yet. I just wired it up and turned it on and it sounds great. Not the loudest system I've owned, but for nearfield monitoring at ~ 1 meter from my ears, I can hear everything I need to just fine. Nice, small footprint too - it fits perfectly on my Studio RTA Mix Station. I know there has been an issue with the fuse on these, but from everything I have read, Blue Sky provides great customer service. They have been answering my e-mailed questions over the weekend and they have responded very quickly in each case. I was leaning heavily toward getting a pair of the JBL LSR 2328s to get more low end than I could get with the KRKs, but I am really happy with this system, for quite a bit less money than what I had been planning to spend. For a home recording setup, this is a great little monitor setup.

Great when it works, if it works

By Lynne W

from Appleton, WI

After having used these for only a couple dozen hours, it would blow the fuse when powered on. The manufacturer support was/is great. They returned emails on the same day and shipped me entirely new electronics, which turned on once and then reverted to blowing the fuse when turned on. So...they are *amazing* when they work, but so far they haven't more than they have. And, to their credit, they're trying to get it fixed, but I see from their message boards that this seems to be not uncommon.
