Overview

Often copied, but never surpassed, the Stratocaster is arguably the world’s most-loved electric guitar. Electrifying the music world since its release in 1954, its natural, versatile sound made the Stratocaster the benchmark for exceptional guitar tones. The American Professional Stratocaster HH ShawBucker isn’t a re-imagining of the classic design; it’s the authentic original model, evolved for today’s players.

The choice of musical legends since its release, the Stratocaster feel and sound set the world on fire, powering music movements from rock ‘n’ roll to EDM, and everything in-between. In your hands this Strat is ready to navigate the creative twists and turns of your music, inviting you to express yourself in new ways through your playing.

The pair of warm, rich-sounding ShawBucker humbucking pickups are voiced specifically for each position, producing powerful, nuanced tones with original Fender sonic DNA. Retain high-end clarity when adjusting the volume controls, thanks to the new treble-bleed tone circuit that lets your tone shine through in all its glory. The new modern “Deep C”-shaped neck profile feels just right in your hand while the narrow-tall frets make it easy to bend strings accurately and play perfectly intonated chords.

The best of yesterday and today, the American Professional Stratocaster HH Shawbucker is the latest form of electric inspiration from Fender. Step up and stake your claim to a legend. Includes hardshell case.

Great guitar. Just what I was looking for.

Comments about Fender American Professional Stratocaster HH Shawbucker Rosewood Fingerboard:

It's just what I was looking for. I love the Shawbuckers. They are tuned for this guitar. The ability to split the coils is nice. Positions 1, 3, and 5 are bridge, both, and neck humbuckers. Positions 2 and 4 split both inner and outer coils respectively. If you're a Stratocaster purest, however, this may not be for you. It definitely has a Fender sound but it is not your traditional Strat sound. But I guess you wouldn't be purchasing it if that's what you're looking for. In single coil mode it isn't your Telecaster sound either. It really has it's own Fender identity but it sounds good to my ears. There is no doubt it's a Fender sound but unique to this set up. I also like the new narrow tall frets. It feels a little different at first but it does allow for easier bending. The neck is fatter closer to the body but it wasn't that noticeable to me. The treble bleed is a nice feature too. You don't get that treble loss when turning the volume down. My only complaint is inserting the pop-in tremolo arm. It was very difficult to pop the arm in. When inserting the arm you have to push it past a spring that's at the bottom of the bridge. The spring rests in a notch on the tremolo arm to hold it in place. There are a couple of set screws to adjust the arm swivel tension but nothing to adjust the spring that actually holds the arm in place. I took it to a local luthier who removed the pop-in spring and physically bent it to fix the problem. It works great now.
