Comments about B.C. Rich Mockingbird with Double Locking Tremolo Electric Guitar:

I got this guitar as a Christmas gift and have been so pleased by its performance. I've played with friends as well as on my own with it and it sounds just as good alone as it does in a group setting. It's an affordable guitar with a tremolo system that stays in tune extremely well. I would NOT recomend this for beginning guitarists or people new to electric guitar. The reason being the double locking trem system, although it is wonderful, is a very touchy system that needs to be taken care of properly by someone who has a knowledge of guitars. It's a lot of work, maintenance, and extra precautions that are not going to be needed on a standard hard tail guitar.

    Bang for your Buck

    By Slug

    from Kingston NS Canada

Comments about B.C. Rich Mockingbird with Double Locking Tremolo Electric Guitar:

I play Gibson Les Paul Studio's mods to basically Zakk Wylde signature, and a Variety of Ibanez guitars Steve Vai Signature Jem (all pricey up to $4,000). While trolling I see this cool looking guitar only 500ish new, good quality hardware so I impulse bough one at a pawn shop for a couple bills (cheap) I plugged it in and started ripping on it, it feels just as good as the jem minus the unscalloped frets. Sounds as good as my one les Paul that had basic Seymore Duncan Alinco 2. Solid mids excellent sustain comprable to my hotrod Les Paul with active pick ups. Playability is very versatile blues, metal, neo classical. It's as good or better then any $3,000 Ibanez for $500ish. Bang for your buck! You can't lose going with this guitar, the price is too good to pass considering the quality build craftsmanship bad killerbl look, great hardware and it sounds plays as good as any of my high end guitars. I will be buying more bc rich gear to add to collection and a couple may go with my touring/gig gear.

    The "Shockingbird"

By I know a used guitar when I see one.

from Not at Guitar Center, Buffalo N.Y.

    Pros

    • Came with "Extra" packing tape closing box.
    • It mysteriously appeared at store 6 days early.
    • They were able to re-order a non-used duplicate.
    • Twice.

    Cons

    • Body style only comfortable while standing.
    • Both guitars I ordered appeared to be used.
    • Bridge was set too high.
    • Comes with too heavy of a gauge strings.
    • Painful experience due to body shape.
    • Speckled lacquer on headstock.
    • Tremolo did not return to position.
    • Wood joints visible through paint.
    • You will pay more for a case than the guitar.

    Best Uses

    • Feeding a wood chipper.

Comments about B.C. Rich Mockingbird with Double Locking Tremolo Electric Guitar:
