Overview

Blackstar Amplification's LT pedal range of valve driven compact boost, overdrive & distortion guitar effect pedals serve up every imaginable flavor of high gain tone. Tonally derived from Blackstar's award-winning HT Pedal range, the LT Series offers a simple and versatile layout of controls. The high integrity buffered bypass and silent switching features ensure that your tone won't suffer when the pedal is disengaged. Blackstar's LT pedals can be powered by 9V or using an optional mains adaptor.

The LT DUAL offers the ultimate in distortion flexibility. Channel 1 lets you move from clean, to boost to overdrive. Channel 2 then takes you from super crunch right up to screaming lead. The unique switching operation will transform a single channel amp into a three channel tone machine.

Blackstar’s patented ISF (Infinite Shape Feature) circuit, giving you infinite adjustment over the characteristics of the tone control, will take you from the USA to the UK and anywhere in between, whilst the patent-applied-for clipping circuit delivers amazing valve-like tone and compression for a wide variety of playing styles.

Features
  • Patent-Applied-For clipping circuit that matches the tone and response of our valve pedals
  • 2 Gain and Level equipped channels
  • Shared Tone and patented ISF control
  • Clean boost to high gain drive in a single pedal
  • Small form-factor - great for pedal boards

Great pedal for dialing in multiple tones

Comments about Blackstar LT Dual 2 Channel Distortion Guitar Effects Pedal:

I'm a basement rock star that jams along with MP3s through my Fender Mustang I. The problem with this amp is that it's not easy to switch between sounds. With this pedal, I can have base settings on the Mustang, then use this pedal for distortion and overdrive to the base. I can get a great AC/DC type sound using Gain 1 on this pedal and a 70s Marshall emulator on the amp. Then I can easily switch to Gain 2 for a little more oomph for a solo. Perfect pedal, I'm glad someone thought of it.

Nice pedal with the boost or gain option in one device

Comments about Blackstar LT Dual 2 Channel Distortion Guitar Effects Pedal:

Nice pedal. Feels sturdy and the on-lights with each choice are not overbearing. I have used it with a Crate v18 two-twelve tube amp and even tried it on the small Crate V5 tube amp. Both gain and distortion channels sounded good, not dropping out the bottom end like some distortion/boost pedals can. Both gain and distortion options cannot be on at the same time if that's what you'd like to do. Or if there is a way to engage both, I haven't tried or found it yet. Chords sounded full and distinguishable. Lead notes had a wavy-shimmering sound to them adding a nice touch. I can somewhat pinch various notes and this pedal seemed to make that attempt an easier feat to accomplish. Guitars tried were with a Godin Freeway Classic, an Epiphone 56 Goldtop w/P90?s; a similar Dean powder blue LP style again w/P90?s and a Gibson 2014 SGJ. All sounded fine. The neck pickups on the P90 guitars had that nice full meaty sound yet clear depending on your settings. Each channel is independently set w/the exception of the tone and ISF knobs. Seems to have plenty of volume if need be. And, the push-buttons are silent w/o a click, another nice touch. I was pleased to purchase this during a GC flash deal making it an even greater attraction and thank those at GC for offering it as such. I think at this point, there may be more distortion and/or gain pedal models on earth than there are guitar players or other interested parties. Not sure how many more variations on any given pedal can be had or re-invented, but maybe as many as there are songs available to play them on. I recommend this pedal and liked how it made my guitars sound.

My Fender Blues Jr Approves!!!!

By LARRY

from Las Veags, NV

Comments about Blackstar LT Dual 2 Channel Distortion Guitar Effects Pedal:

I play a Blues Jr, Why?, great amp, small footprint and easy to move. Here in Las Vegas you don't need stacks of amps and everything is miced. This one like it's other pedal (HT-5 Dual) makes my Blues Jr into a 3 channel amp for about $100.00 less than the HT-5 Dual. Hey a hundred bones is a hundred bones ya know. I had a Blackstar HT-5 micro stack and it sounded amazing, just not enough output to really use live. Wanted that same sound so walaa! I am very pleased as I get the same sound. I also paired this up with a Mad Professor Golden Cello which I use for a lead pedal. I don't really like a bunch of delay on my rhythm channels, just a touch of verb, so the Golden Cello works great with this pedal adding just a touch of delay to my lead work to give it a singing tone with lots of sustain also giving about a 15db boost. By the way I don't work for GC or MF, I'm a working musician for nearly 30 years. If you need the ability to change levels of gain like I needed to play multiple genre's, then this guy is your pedal. I mostly play New Country, but this will easily do Classic Rock, Rock, Punk, Country, even most metal. You'll need something different for Death Metal and such. I'm very pleased and Blackstar has this one right, Great Job Blackstar!
