Comments about Blackstar HT Series HT-1RH 1W Tube Guitar Amp Head:

I've had my Blackstar HT 1RH for a couple of days now it arrived at Guitar center on Friday. Three days for delivery is pretty good, well when I unpacked it the first thing I noticed was that it was packing a little weight. I have a 12in Celestron speaker in an old Fender Delux 90 DSP amp that burned out. So I kept the amp to use as a cabinet and it works very well with the Blackstar head. I was really amazed at how loud it was and it had some bottem end. The cleans are loud enough to get a true tube tone. The dirty chanel is great I love it, wont need any pedel with this one. I hooked the head up to a cab that I have with two 16 ohlm 10 inch speakers, and it was meeaah not so great, I think the speakers are really bass speakers. This morning I finally got my telecaster working and plugged up both cabs one with a 12 and one with two tens and it was really fine lots of bottem end and lots of highs. I have found several different tones that I like, after much research on youtube and reading reveiws that I could find ,this was the amp for me. I traded off a Fender Hot Rod Delux so I could get the coin to buy this, at first I was very scepticle about loosing the Hot Rod but it was so loud more than I needed. However I am quite pleased with this amp the only problem was the knob on the gain fell off out of the box, right off it wasnt a deal breaker, with a little super glue it was right back where it should be. I know this reveiw is a little long but there's not a whole lot of reveiws on this little monster, it's plenty loud enough I have been playing since I was twelve years old, I am almost 58 now and I have had lots and lots of amps, solid state, valve and I have to say the tube tone is much better. I dont know how the combo with the little 8in speaker would sound I have never had a speaker smaller that a ten that had any good sound so I like the head, the reverb is very mild nothing over the top just a hint of it. The best thing about the head is you can go from a 4 to a 16 ohm cab, the combo only has a 8 ohm out so that is the only difference in the out put. Go ahead and pull the trigger on this one, you will be pleased and thats a fact from the Jackster.

Blackstar Rules!!!

Comments about Blackstar HT Series HT-1RH 1W Tube Guitar Amp Head:

For Those of you who dont know Blackstar Amplification was started by three engineers who left Marshall Amps. Blackstars tiny little monster HT-1RH is awesome for bright not murcky tones on clean , even with active EMG pickups, and fat bottom end crunch on the overdrive channel. If your a rock or metal guitarist who lives in an apartment, this is your tube amp. Unless you can afford an Orange or Mesa, but those amps are $699.99 and $999.99 respectively. I have never heard a small amp like this provide so much overdrive at low vloume. At hi volume it doesnt get murky either. Tight. On top of that it will drive two 4x8 cabinets. Rock'n little amp!! Thank you Blackstar!!
