Blackstar's HTMETAL100H 100W head delivers on what every metal head needs: 100W of tube-powered goodness, mountains of gain, killer tone, useful features and, well, it's black. Black is cool.
The HTMETAL100H features three footswitchable channels - Clean, Overdrive 1 and Overdrive 2 - and master controls for Volume, Presence Resonance and Reverb. The overdrive channels share knobs for Treble, Middle, Bass and ISP - Blackstar's patented Infinite Shape Feature that gives infinite adjustment over your tone characteristics. The overdrive channels also have independent volume and gain controls for different distortion tones, or for a solo volume boost. The Clean channel has independent Treble, Bass and Volume controls, as well as a Voice switch to choose between "British Class-A" and "Dynamic US" tones. The four-button foot switch controls each of the three channels and an on/off for the digital Reverb.
The big punch behind 100W of high-gain glory comes through an all-tube design made to melt faces on stage. The HTMETAL100H houses two ECC83, one ECC82 and four 6L6 tubes to push huge amounts of air with your favorite external cabinet.
It can't all be meat and potatoes. The METAL100H features a digital reverb with a Dark/Bright switch, FX loop with +4dBV/-10dBV level switch, speaker-emulated output with 1x12" and 4x12" voicings and footswitchable volume boost when using the optional FS-4 footswitch to cut through the mix.

Comments about Blackstar HT Metal Series HTMETAL100H 100W Tube Guitar Head with Reverb:
As soon as I plugged in the tone was blowing me away.I did not hesitate to trade in my Marshall JVM 205H.This is the best head I have played through, great sound in all channels. The clean is as good as my Mesa Rec. and the overdrive channels blow away the Mesa and Marshall. The digital reverb is way better than the JVM.The quality is better than the JVM Marshall.I will be buying more Blackstar products, and saving some cash.
