Product Information

Surprisingly compact, astoundingly powerful and responsive.

The 15W Blackheart Handsome Devil Tube Amp Head was designed and prototyped in a one car garage in Austin, Texas by none other than amp savant, Pyotr Belov. The BH15H Handsome Devil amp evokes classic tube tones more than reminiscent of the great American and British amplifiers - the plug and play workhorses that laid the foundation for rock 'n' Roll guitar tone starting in the '60s. Just like its predecessor and little brother, the Little Giant 5, the BHE Handsome Devil is overbuilt to last with features and components you'd expect on a hand built, much more expensive amplifier.

Features dual power modes allowing the Gods of Rock to dial in responsiveness and headroom in either 15W or 7W output. Separate Master and Level controls put both awesome power and responsibility in the unwashed hands of mankind. 3 Bands of well-tuned EQ make for nearly infinite voicing. From big fat overdrive to plucky, just-about-to-squeal if you hit me a little harder grease, the Handsome Devil covers classic tube tone with as few knob turns as possible through a well thought out set of features in a tough as a tank package.

As expected, you get the simple elegance and robust component specs that mark BHE's designs. From 1W, carbon-film resistors in the signal path to beefy, double sided pcb with 2 oz traces, 16 gauge, precision folded and welded chassis and mutli-ply, classically joined cabinetry, Blackheart is as serious about quality as they are about tone.

With our Guaranteed Lowest Price, you can be assured of complete satisfaction and the lowest available price, or your money back!

Small wattage with large headroom

I picked up my BH15H for work at home and small rooms. What I found is that this head works great in most clubs of medium size. The tone is great for electric blues and rock. Depending on the size of the room I have used a 1x12 cabnet or a 4x12 cabnet and it has not let me down. I have not found any negitive points with this head as we usually play 3 1 hour sets and the amp has not let me down.

Awesome little devil

This little head rocks big. I have this head paired with a Fender Roc Pro 4-12 cabinet and it delivers nice big sound. From nice clean sound to the heavily distorted metal this little head is great for anyone who wants to rock out . It is perfectly compatible with any petal.without paying out thousands for big sound

HotShot Handsome Devil

Perfect for What I needed, I wanted an old school sound cranked with just a touch grit, nice warm compressed rockabilly sound, if you want a great classic rock or blues sound it will do that too!

Amazing Tone!

I have a friend who called me from the Dallas store to tell me he had just bought this head with matching cab for what could only be defined as theft.(it was a demo). He bought it upon my recomendation since he has played thru my Little Giant and loves it. He told me to meet him at our studio and to bring my box of tubes just in case. My first impression was it didn't clean up real well at lower volumes so we replaced the driver tube with a 12AT7 and that did the trick. This amp, like most tube amps cleans up really well when you roll off your volume on the guitar and can get a really great crunch when you dime your guitars volume (we had the amp set at 2 o'clock). All things said. this amp is very quiet, tonally amazing and a great bang for the buck. As far as the cab, the Eminence speaker is O.K. but I'm a Celestion guy (Gold,Blues Greenbacks or V-30's). However for what he paid for the cab,You couldn't even buy the raw materials to build an empty cabinet so the Celestion will come into play shortly. PLAY THRU ONE and I think you'll become a believer!
