I got these strings for my shecter with a floyd rose, if you stretch therm out properly while putting them on and aren't afraid to mess with some settings, these strings are BETTER then ernie balls. I play 3 - 4 hours a day and these strings lasted 3 months with that abuse without any tuning instability. i haven't used any other brand strings since i first got these in 2010. Great, great strings. CONS: the coating does tend to scratch off after a few days, but only were you pick and underneath the strings were the frets are. PROS: they bend REALLY well, but that's just due to the thickness.

These suck!!!

Yeah it's true. The black comes off where you strike the string. Oh after about 3 songs!! Twice the price for a little play. They make noise though.

Great Strings, Last a long time.

Comments about Black Diamond Light Gauge Black Coated Nickel Electric Guitar Strings:

I've used these for quite some time now, and I think they're great. They have a nice mellow tone. I play mostly slide on them, so I don't put as much abuse on them as some other people who have reviewed them. The only downside is that they tend to make a lot of noise when you're sliding your hand over them.

    Good...but...

Comments about Black Diamond Light Gauge Black Coated Nickel Electric Guitar Strings:

I've been using Ernie Ball Regular Slinks since I was playing and they always met my expectation and I ordered thee because of the color and I got them today and I put them on. I played Sweet Child and once I was done with the solo a lot of the black started to get scratched off from the G and mainly the B string, that was just one song, I cant imagine what would happen if I played it for hours. Overall I would not get the strings again, Ernie Ball Regular Slinks last for a month or 2 and they are the most reliable stings I have ever played. Only good thing about these strings are the tone it give the guitar, the black makes it a lot heavier.

    Great

Comments about Black Diamond Light Gauge Black Coated Nickel Electric Guitar Strings:

I'd have to say these were better than the D'addario's that came stock with my guitar. I can get a better pick scrape sound with these strings, and the best part is it doesn't come off that easily. Sure I have some gray spots showing, but I tried scraping it off the string and couldn't.

G and D string slip and snap.

    By Murdoch

Comments about Black Diamond Light Gauge Black Coated Nickel Electric Guitar Strings:

The G and D string kept a slippin and a sliding out of the locking tuner. When I did finally get them to hold the D string snapped at the tuning peg after the first bend. I replaced it with an Ernie Ball D string which of course worked as it should. However, the G string would not stay in tune and had to be replaced. All the black diamond strings were replaced after a few hours of rehearsal. In my opinion, these are not good strings.

you have no idea what a difference these strings make. They are so easy to bend and glide upon, you become better the minute youve got em on.

    Pretty Cool

Comments about Black Diamond Light Gauge Black Coated Nickel Electric Guitar Strings:

When I first strung these strings on my guitar, it didn't sound too good. But give it a day of being tuned, then retune it. Your friends will envy these strings because yes, they are literally black. They give perfect tone, really good. Don't overtune them though because they break easy under tension.
