Trying to put a set of these on my mandolin, resulted in the E string breaking......a total of four times. Other mandolin players have reported the same thing, the E string is too brittle. Email to Black Diamond resulted in no response. GC sells Elixer strings, which are outstanding AND about the same price AND last a looong time. Buy those instead.
