• The best damn pickup you will ever use!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  Well first off, the fact that Dimebag Darrell used this pickup for pretty much his whole career should be a clue as to how amazing this pickup actually is. I bought this pickup after receiving a faulty Dimebucker pickup from one of Bill's students Seymour Duncan. So in search of that big hot, full, warm rich tone I was so desperately looking for I decided to look on guitar center at other SD pickups seeing if anything would be a comparable product, then I saw that Bill Lawrence gear was added here and was intrigued immediately knowing this is the same product that Dimebag once used, so I checked it out and too the chance of ordering the 500xL. Well as soon as I had that pup installed in my Epiphone G-400 and played it for the first time I was absolutely blown away! It had the huge high gain that i was looking for and yet it was still very warm and full in sound and another plus is it cleans up nicely. Same with the 500 RZA which is the perfect counter part. Basically don't spend liked 80 or more dollars on a pickup that will give you the same quality that Bill Lawrence has gave us for many years! That is the fact's my friends! Peace!

  just bought the bill lawrence 500xl for the bridge of my jackson v, and it is without a doubt a great pickup. it has a lot of bottom end, but at the same time has great high's. when playing some rock or metal it has great harmonics and sustain! the mounting ring was thick as hell, so i took a belt sander too it too give it room under the string's lol. i will be replacing the neck pickup with the 500 r soon.

  I recently bought the L500XL for my bridge and the L500R for my neck, and they are probably the clearest, richest, and most Bitey pickups I've ever had the pleasure to hear. They are Extremely clear, anyone who says otherwise is either deaf, or dumb. They have a nice thick low end, and a thick high end on the neck, and an equally impressive low end and high end on the bridge. The have a TON of bite, but clean up quite nicely as well. Overall these were an incredible buy, after all if the late great Dimebag Darrell Abbott used em they are good enough for any metal tone buff.
