Los Angeles. Late 1940s. A love of motorcycles brings together genius engineer Paul Bigsby and music legend Merle Travis. Their friendship inspired Paul to create the first Bigsby True Vibrato Tailpiece. He went on to design a series of Vibratos that rocked the music world. Still the original. Hand Crafted. Sand Cast. Hand Polished. The same way Paul did.
Les Paul is a Trademark of Gibson Guitar Corp., which is not associated with Bigsby. Silver Jet is a Trademark of Fred W. Gretsch Enterprises Ltd.

Great tone! Easy installation! Very happy with my B7.
I Put a gold B7 on my camo Zakk Wylde Les Paul, and everytime I play or even look at the guitar I fall in love with it all over again. I've never had a tuning problem in fact I think the added string tension has added to the stability and playability of the guitar. I do recommend getting a roller bridge, using heavier gauge strings 11s or 13s(thats what I use),putting some graphite in the nut string slots (a sharp pencil does the job nicely), and stringing it up in a way that the strings don't wrap around your tuning post too many times.....just double checked mine barely go around once. Plus if you get a vibramate V7 and don't like it you can always bring your guitar right back to stock in a matter of minutes. GOOD LUCK
Bigsby tailpieces are quality units. This is why guitar manufacturers such as Gibson and Gretch install them as "factory" tail pieces on some models. They are NOT designed to be mashed and perform heavy metal "dives" as is the well known "Floyd Rose" setup. In addition to having decent quality tuners on the guitar, "roller" type birdges are available as direct replacements for the Gibson style tune-o-matic stoack bridge. They have the intonation setting as well, but strings ride on miniature rollers, hence they cannot pull across the bridge saddle, bind on the reverse direction, and throw the string out of tune. They are a little hard to find, but are well worth the trouble in obtaining one. The Bigsby by itself is great fun. Combine it with a roller style bridge and forget about tuning issues.
this is a great product, the only problem i had with it is that you can still see the holes where the original tailpiece was. it also goes out of tune a little easier but ive had quite a few ppl tell me i just need to break it in and it will stop that. it also probably goes out of tune because of the new strings. either way this things great
I am in love with my Bigsby B7. On a Les Paul, it looks stunning and the vibrato puts a little flair on everything. People complain about tuning problems but I have had none. It's a little bit of a pain to put on, but it is worth it. Must have!
I had read reviews for the B70 and B700, stating issues with loss of tuning, so I decided to go for the B7 in the hopes of no tuning issues. I love this bigsby, I installed it a few weeks ago, and have had no tuning issues as of yet. I believe it is a requirement that you have good tuners before installing, or I have no doubt that it would be an issue. I upgraded to high end grovers on my 335 copy, and I think it helped quite a bit. Relatively easy to install, and it sounds great, highly recommended as long as you have decent tuners.
I recently purchased an orange semi hollowbody epiphone wildkat. it came with the stock bigsby "licensed" tremelo. dude....the guitar would go out of tune if you just looked at it long enough. i hated it and was totally frustrated. that stock licensed tremelo sucked. i decided to buy one of these as a replacement (or an answer). this bigsby tremelo is the greatest thing ever. you cant get a better sounding tremelo. and she now stays in tune - i did add 11 guage strings to the setup, but what an improvement. she really keeps in tune!!! also remember if youre into "dive bombing" your notes this is not the tremelo bar your looking for. this is perfect for accenting. if youre thinking about getting a bigsby - go with this one.
