Comments about Bellafina Violina 5-string Violin Outfit:

I love my 5-string Violina! But here is what I wished I had known before purchasing it. As you can imagine, purchasing an instrument online is nerve racking, I was extremely sceptical and it was hard for me to find any negative reviews. The price for this beauty is jawdropping, most cost around (2 grand). So what's the deal?
The cons/why it is so cheap:
The bow is made of plastic hair. There is no shoulder rest, and you need to set up the bridge.
These are easy fixes. I bought a new bow at a local music shop for about 50bucks, I already had a shoulder rest, and I had a professional set up the bridge for me.
The Sound is so beautiful! The projection is phenomenal. The other thing I noticed is that the color of the violin is fading, but that can be fixed as well.
Another thing to consider is that the strings are close together than an average 5-string, but only slightly, so please, professional or highly experienced players use only, otherwise you will be so frustrated for such a long time.
I reccommend buying new strings after these ones have worn out (which they will soon because these kind stretch), and I reccommend having a professional install fine tuners on each of the strings because the strings stretch and go out of tune very frequently, (fine tuners help hold the strings' pitch for a longer amount of time plus makes it easier to tune. Needing to tune frequently is all part of breaking a new instrument in so don't worry).
I love my Violin so much! Trust me, I've been playing for over 13 years, college and professional level. I don't have the means to spend a lot of money, so this is such a treat to have, really, the best violin I've ever owned.
I wished I had known all these factors before purchasing so that I wouldn't have been so nervous the whole time.

Amazing Value on a 5-String Viola/Violin

Comments about Bellafina Violina 5-string Violin Outfit:

Very impressive cost to value, but be sure to have a professional set it up to assure optimal performance. 5-string is not for all, must be willing to adapt to closer string spacing. This is definitely not an instrument for beginners, but if you are looking to increase your range by combining the violin and viola into one instrument this is your ticket to fun and enjoyment with music.

We just purchased the VIOLINA and are amazed at the quality and value! Setting up the Bridge to 370 mm from the nut was easy. The Soundpost was set in place. The more I practice it, the better the sound! I recommend this product to any serious musician!!!

      Good Value

Comments about Bellafina Violina 5-string Violin Outfit:

I own a 14" Bionde. Has a loud, dry and dark voice which may not appeal to some players, but I had a chance to compare it with a Realist RV Pro played acoustically and could not hear any difference. The Realist has a quality pickup system, and a slightly wider neck, but Bellafina is definitely a great value for the price since you can easily install a Barbera (BTS) electro set for $600.

      Surprising quality for price

Comments about Bellafina Violina 5-string Violin Outfit:

I purchased this instrument for convenience purposes in my teaching and was pleasantly surprised by the good quality of both instrument and case. I had a shop luthier set the bridge for me. It took no time at all to develop the feel for arm position for 5 strings! There is a place designed to hold the shoulder rest right under the neck - something my significantly more expensive viola case doesn't have. Do plan early for finding the 'power E string' for the larger violinas. You can't walk into a violin shop and get one. I had to buy replacements from England. If you have a need for the occasional use of notes on the C or E strings, then this instrument is worth purchasing.
