Overview

The NU6000, part of the iNUKE series from Behringer, is an extremely lightweight and durable power amplifier that will fit comfortably into any standard 19" rack with the rest of your gear. The NU6000 has a "back-to-front" ventilation system and incorporates High-Density Class-D components with "near-zero" thermal build-up, which allows the unit to run cool and avoid the need for massive heat sinks. Each channel has their own independent DC, LF, and thermal overload components that will automatically protect the amplifier and speakers to avoid any damage to your system.

The exterior of the NU6000 is manufactured with a sturdy metal housing that secures all of the internal components. The rear panel of the NU6000 has XLR and TRS input connections, and also features professional twist-lock speaker outputs that provide versatile and secure connections for your system. There are 4-segment signal and limit LED's on the front of the NU6000 that help you visually monitor performance levels. The NU6000 operates in stereo or dual-mono modes, and has a switch-mode power supply that provides noise-free audio with good transient response and low power consumption. The iNUKE series VU600 offers a durable and affordable power amplification solution for your sound system.

I am an audiophile, a commercial sound tech, as well as a singer. So I work with this type of equipment constantly. I also have the iNuke 3000, so I already knew what to expect from the line. The amps sound very good, they are well made and extremely light weight. The weight is especially important in portable applications, which is what I bought this amp for. I used it to replace a Behringer EP4000, which is an excellent amp, but it's extremely heavy. I'm very pleased with the light weight of the iNuke, and with the sound quality as well. But the output power is not quite what the ratings claim. In comparison to the EP4000, the iNuke 6000 seems to be about the same or slightly less powerful. It's still more than my speakers can handle, so I'm fine with that. I was expecting that anyway because I also have an iNuke 3000 and it's overrated in it's output power as well.

So it's a good product, just take the wattage claims with a grain of salt. If in doubt, buy the next size up and you will probably be quite pleased with it.

Bheringer had a bad reputation some years ago, and frankly they deserved it. But they are making some very good equipment these days, and the price is right. I have several Bheringer products that I am very pleased with.

I had high hopes for this amp. But you get what you pay for. This amp does not have near the power as advertised. It claims to have an output of 2200w (RMS) stereo @4ohm. My peavey 218x 4ohm subs are rated at 1000w continues 2000w program 4000w peak. This amp jus doesnt even come close to giving my subs the 2000w program they need to sound good. There is also a static kinda noise coming through my subs when i hook this amp to them. Its a very affordable amp but its for a good reason. When you need big power like this one claims to have, your better off spending the extra money on the good stuff.

great amp

Comments about Behringer iNUKE NU6000 Power Amp:

People will have bad thought about this amp because the name thats on the front. Behringer has stepped up their game on this one though. I was using QSC 1450s 2450s & 5050s. I bought these inukes and they blow the qsc's out of the water. the fans on these things push a lot of air so you won't have heating problems, not to mention the qsc's are A LOT heavier. I run these through a DBX driverack and they sound great. Possibly the best PA buy I've made.

Comments about Behringer iNUKE NU6000 Power Amp:

I purchased this amp to boost some more power to my pa system. We use it in a "garage band" set up, not professionally. I am using it with a Behringer PMP960 mixer/amp that didnt have enough power for my needs. Now I do. The unit is serving my purpose just fine. No problems.

Comments about Behringer iNUKE NU6000 Power Amp:

I have had this amp for just a few weeks, but all I can say is WOW! This amp is so light weight and powerful. I use it to power my two Rockville dual 12 component speakers rated at 1000w rms and a speaker sensitivity of 102db. These speakers were underpowered originally with the amp that came with them so I decided to switch to this amp and with barely using half of the power of the amp these speakers are really loud. This amp is definitely a great buy for the price.

Replaced unit with same type/style as previously installed. Used a borrowed amp which cost much more. Discovered how little of the lows we were hearing. Great unit for high's, not so much for the lows.

Comments about Behringer iNUKE NU6000 Power Amp:

I'm using this Behringer iNuke NU6000 to drive a pair of JBL SRX725 speakers for a "winter percussion" percussion ensemble (marimbas, vibes, electric bass and keyboards, effects). Rooms are high school gymnasiums, facing bleachers, and I'm guessing that I could double the volume if I needed to. The amp is extremely lightweight and portable, and the sound is fine as far as I can tell. I have not done a proper ABX comparison against another amp, but I don't hear any unusual sound artifacts. This was the only amp in our price range that would comfortably drive our hand-me-down speakers, and it is doing it easily. Recommended!

I use this Inuke 6000 with 2 b52 folded the amp did some what good .But the problem is with any slight change in electricity . The amp will burnout or stay protected an will Not work again . You will need a good surge protector and power conditioner and still have the chance of it going bad.In my opinion the older models are more durable like the beringer europower . I have had the EP4000 for 4 years now and never had a problem with it. Good luck !! with the Inuke
