Overview

5-input, 2-bus, ultra-low noise, high headroom mixer with main mix, stereo CD/tape, and separate headphone outputs. CD/tape inputs assignable to headphone output or main mix outputs. Behringer's innovative Xenyx mixers provide the home recordist and club musician with pristine sound quality and cutting-edge features for very little outlay. Behringer's neo-classic "British EQ" brings back the warmth and musicality of those '60s and '70s mega-console desks that made music history.

Features
  • Premium ultra low-noise, high headroom analog mixer
  • State-of-the-art Xenyx mic preamp comparable to standalone boutique preamps
  • Neo-classic "British" 2-band EQ for warm and musical sound
  • Main mix, stereo CD/tape plus separate headphone outputs
  • CD/tape inputs assignable to headphone output or main mix outputs

When I first saw the price for this thing I went straight to guitar center and checked it out. I took it home and hooked up to my computer and it worked great with my garageband recording software. Everything worked incredibly and there was nothing wrong with the mixer. If you want a small mixer and your on a low budget get this mixer because even if you can afford the best, you should buy this because it is the best for anything.

Had one of these for a bit under two years. It just died after light use -- even with nothign plugged in, if I power it up the input meters flatline somewhere in the yellow range. I'm glad it wasn't plugged in to anything when this happened. I can't complain about the mixer's performance while it worked... but now, it doesn't work.

      works as it's supposed to

      By robert monochello

      from woodland park, nj

Comments about Behringer Xenyx 502 Mixer:

i primarily use this to run backing tracks to a PA and headphones, while playing live. It works very well for this purpose, and there are even a couple inputs left to add anything else i might need to mix through it. It is pretty solid in construction, and the volume controls are very good. It could use a more "solid base" (tends to slide a little at times.)

      Beginnner recorders dream

      By Julie Owen

      from Indiana

Comments about Behringer Xenyx 502 Mixer:

I use this for my house of worship and I use it almost every Sunday. I love it. The Pros of this mixer is the fact that it very very quiet and it is very affordable. The Cons of this mixer is the fact of no switches on t as in no phantom power switch and a an actual power switch. But, overall it is a nice little mixer and fr the price it is great.

      Sweet and simple

      By adam fisher

Comments about Behringer Xenyx 502 Mixer:

i have bought 3 of these in my life one when i was 16 and into thrash metal the second when i was doing acoustic and softer vocal work and the last when i was starting to get into production and electronic music. No matter what your genre is this will be the tool for a simple setup or a beginner. if your not familiar with the way mixers are described this one is called a 5 Chanel mixer but just so you know only the first Chanel lets you fine tine the inputs low middle and high frequencies. the other inputs are separated into left and right channels meaning you really only have 3 inputs in this mixer. also take care of the power cable because it cost more to replace the cable then to buy a new unit.

      Perfect for small bands

      By Matt

      from Mahwah, NJ

Comments about Behringer Xenyx 502 Mixer:

I manage/record a band and this mixer is perfect for me. Make sure that the amp you are using has two inputs, though. This mixer cannot have a mic and a regular input at the same time. Otherwise it is absolutley perfect.

      For 4 person band

      By Brian R.

      from Detroit, MI

Comments about Behringer Xenyx 502 Mixer:

I would have to say this is a beginner mixer because it is only a mic, guitar and 2 other inputs but other than that it is better than the Nady MM-242 I was looking at. Good job, Behringer!

Reliable, quiet, simple, small, good value.

      By Teddy

      from Saint Louis MO

Comments about Behringer Xenyx 502 Mixer:

ATTN: THE XENYX 502 DOES HAVE PHANTOM POWER! It provides 15 volts across pins 1 and 2, which is enough to power most condenser mics. YAY! Aside from the sticker on the box and the 15v DC across pins 1 and 2, you'd never see it (no phantom switch). Perfect for putting a little kick drum (etc.) into the bass amp. PROS: Low noise (turn all unused channels down), affordable, compact, works every time, durable chassis, lightweight, versatile, cute, survives the rigors of countless gigs. Cons: POWER LED TOO BRIGHT (window tint fixes this), no power switch, outboard transformer cords prone to fatigue, plastic shaft pots, screws tend to loosen under heavy use. Reliable, quiet, simple, small, good value!
