Are you one of those people who are dying to get amazing amp effects, but cannot afford to spend hundreds of dollars? Well, you just found the right pedal. The Behringer X V-Amp is an amazing multi effect pedal. I have been using it for about six months, and could not be more pleased. 5/5 Variety: There is a huge variety of effects available on this pedal. Wha, acoustic, you name it! This pedal has 99 customizable presets, so you can switch to any effect easily. Durability: This pedal seems to be very durable. It is not made of cheap plastic. It is made of metal. 5/5 Compatibility: This pedal is compatible with any amp. To set it up, you just plug your guitar into it, and plug another cable from the V-Amp to the amp. Please note that the V-Amp does not include the additional cable. 5/5 Sound: The sound quality is extremely high. When I plug my guitar into it and use the wha effect, it sounds like an authentic wha pedal. When I use the acoustic effect, it almost sounds like a real acoustic guitar. 5/5 Price: This is probably one of the best priced pedals on the market. It eliminates the need to buy hundreds of dollars worth of equipment. 5/5 Overall: A great buy for any guitarist wishing to save money.

This is an okay unit to get started with, but there are some issues with it. Firs the good: it sounds great. However, occasionally the effect will change without touching the unit - i.e. there are some software issues - this is annoying, but not too much of a problem if you're just practicing. The biggest issue is that there isn't a second input on it, so a separate mixing device is required in order to be able to practice along with anything. I'd rather a little more and have this than to have to cable up separate device. Also, a metronome/click track would be nice.

I have to admit, out of the box I was really disappointed. Many of the presets were missing. I also made up my own sounds and saved them etc. only to find out that they weren't really saved in the memory. Being a Computer builder I realized that there must be a CMOS battery on the processing board inside of the unit. I opened it up, replaced the battery (CR2032) and solved the problem of "saving" my own settings. I wiped out all of the presets and had to do a reboot and it restored all 99 of the presets. I highly recommend downloading the manual, you won't be able to save your own settings, or restore the 99 without the manual.
This is a great deal for what you get. There are a couple of key sounds missing, so it's not everything you need, but it has plenty of others to explore your way through. The unit is well made and I've had no tech problems. It's also fairly easy to use.
The effects are great. There are 4 types of each effect: Chorus, Flanger, Tremolo, Phaser, Rotary (organ), Pitch Bend, Whammy Bar, Harmonizer, Auto Wah, Pedal Wah, P Funkin. Reverbs: Cathedral, Spring, Ambience, or Normal. Delays: Standard Delay, Long Echo, Slap Echo, Ping Pong! Compressor, and Noise Gate. A tuner it's awesome! Also there are 16 different type of amp settings! From Acoustic to classic clean to Ultimate gain! I have always wondered how guitarists sounded so good! Before I bought this product my guitar sounded HORRIBLE. The first day I used the guitar with x-amp: I was amazed at how good it sounded through the amp. Its not heavy, so it's good to carry around. I use it in gigs, I'm not that much of an effects w-horse(censored) so I normally switch from classic clean to modern gain (distortion). You can save up to 100 set ups. So what I do is make of list for my songs and use the set up numbers like 95-98 or 10-13 etc. There's 100 for petes sake. This product is very cheap, great piece of work. I recommend this product!
I waited about 3 months to finally write this review so I could find all of the bugs. The item is nice for the price, its affordable by the average player short on cash. There are several flaws however, the expression pedal is in either up position or down position, there is no in between. the second flaw I noticed was that it is very difficult to navigate until you have read the manuel(its easy to switch presets, however making your own tones is a little tricky at first) I wouldnt recommend a beginner trying to by these for ease. another big flaw ive noticed was when i tried to play and switch presets without stopping my playing. there is a short delay where the sound cuts completely out (1-3 seconds) it may be a short time of not having sound but that makes a difference when playing in front of ppl. other than that, the pedal is pretty decent. it however feels cheap and the quality isnt too great. the thing is made of cheap plastic and doesnt feel very sturdy, the rubber pad on the pedal comes off very easy because it wasnt glued down well, and the thing is too small. the pedal feels cheap because you tend to have no spacing. features are nice. quality is good but not great, and i would definately not recommend this item, and i would not use this for my main rig(i wouldnt even use it as a backup rig, or take it on stage. if anything i would use it as a practice tool)
I got this for Christmas 2010, and after using it for 9 months, it isn't very good. The distortion effects are terrible. The sounds are too faint. When I play with Distortion on my amp without the pedal, it sounds a lot better. This is good enough for a beginner, but not something I'd really want as a more advanced player.
I payed around 70 bucks for this, and if you're low budget and you just want to experiment with sound, this pedal is good for you. The amp models are nice, though I didn't find much I liked about the lower gain models. I really liked the hi-gain models. The pedal takes a little getting used to, but its pretty user-friendly. It didn't take me long to figure it out. The cons of this pedal are as follows: The expression pedal doesn't do a lot. Pretty much, it takes you from the low end of your range to the high end. It doesn't do anything in between. Because of this, the wah effect isn't very good. I rarely used the expression pedal. Also, the pedal isn't extremely sturdy. It lasted me awhile for in-home play, but it wouldn't do for gig-work. If you buy it, be careful not to get the cable caught in the expression pedal. This can do a lot of damage. Thirdly, there is very limited effect range. I mean the amount of time an effect will run. For example, when using the flange effect, I couldn't get it to last more than a few seconds without repeating. I wanted it to last 10 or 15 seconds sometimes. Lastly, I've had it for a couple of years, and all of the sudden, I started getting a whole bunch of feedback that wouldn't go away. The pedal works, but the feedback makes it virtually useless. For all these limitations, the pedal is still a good pedal for the price.
I got this pedal a year ago and never use it. It kills the tone even when you're using no effects on it and the effects are nothing special. The amp simulations don't sound good, its confusing to use, and it gives off a lot of screechy treble. I was also disappointed by the low quality wah pedal that barely cut through any amount of distortion. Save your money and buy something else.
I bought this pedal for use in my band, and it does everything I would want in a multi-effects pedal. It's very well made and would recommend it to anyone who wants a great quality pedal for a good price. Good Job Behringer!
I have owned this pedal for about a year and it has worked like a charm. The effects are great and you can customize each one. The wah isn't that great but you can use it to change the volume. Just go and buy it IT"S GREAT.
I find it almost comical when you buy certain devices that include manuals in every language but when you follow the steps that are in your language and you literally do what it says but the unit fails to do everything but reset. Most musicians that are working really don't have the time or patience to play around with something for weeks until they figure out how it functions. This unit is very noisy as well but interesting enough for the price rage. However, it can't be taken seriously as pro-gear.
