Its an great amp for a good price. It has plenty of effects to choose from and the sound is good. I usually set the volume between 3 and 4 and its already really loud. The only thing that I don't like is the footswitch. Instead of the effects switching when you press you foot down on the switch, they switch when you lift your foot off.

The Behringer V-Tone GMX212 Stereo Combo is an amp for beginning musicians on a very, VERY low budget. I used this amp as a guitar amp in my band for a short time, and it didn't hold up very well. I used the Behringer V-Tone GMX212 Stereo Combo Amp at a show once, and that one time it couldn't put out enough sound to play with. I had to combine it with an amp from another band I didn't know. My suggestions: If you need a cheap, quick fix to a guitar amp problem, go with this, but if you're serious about your playing, save up and get something better.

Effects On A Budget

By Anthony Purcell

Comments about Behringer V-Tone GMX212 2X60 Watt Stereo Guitar Combo:

I love this amp! With all of it's built in effects, it kinda nulls the need for pedals. It has all type of effects, wah, phaser, delay, ambiance, chorus, fill, heavy distorion, and plently more. You can choose the intensity of the effects also. I was able to create wonderful music with this amp. The sound is crisp and clear. Good prodcut.

Loud with good effects.

Comments about Behringer V-Tone GMX212 2X60 Watt Stereo Guitar Combo:

I agree that this may not be a pro's show amp, but it is the best amp I've heard for the money. No others come close in this price range. It is plenty loud and it sounds good and the effects do a pretty good job. I think the drive channel is especially good in this amp. I also think the footswitch could use some work, but again, in this price range I don't think that is a make or break item. It just a little nuisance.

Overall A Great Amp!

By DarkOne

from Reading, PA

Comments about Behringer V-Tone GMX212 2X60 Watt Stereo Guitar Combo:

This amp is great value for the amount of effects, volume and connections. The control knobs seem fragile but should hold up. It has an effects loop to connect a preamp modeler (before the amps effects) which may effect tone. The slave input connection is transparent and does not color your tone! However, the internal preamp and amp volume controls are disabled, so your preamp is the only way to adjust the volume. I use this amp with the GNX3000 using the clean channels and "some" of the V-Tone amp effects (chorus, reverb or the pitchshifter for hamonizing) just for that little "extra" and it sounds awesome. The amp is analog, no tubes to replace and gets a decent distortion, but for a "heavy metal" sound buy a pedal. Overall, this amp has a ton of effects that are adjustable. Most are useable (after adjusting the effect level) and you can save your setting over the preset! The channels are identical so you set a different effect to each and switch between them. I really like this amp for everything it includes and keep finding new sounds everytime I play... Keep rockin

Behringer V-Tone GMX212 Stereo Combo

By Stratomaster74

Comments about Behringer V-Tone GMX212 2X60 Watt Stereo Guitar Combo:

Great amp, lots of effects and good analog modeling. If you are a beginner you should definantly get this, it's better than a line 6 spider at the same price range. 120 watts, 2-12" classic jensens.

Comments about Behringer V-Tone GMX212 2X60 Watt Stereo Guitar Combo:

I love this amp. It sounds great when it's low and it sounds even better when it's cranked. This is the 2nd one I've owned and I have never had any problems with anything. There's so much to do with this amp! This is a great amp.

Ummm...

Comments about Behringer V-Tone GMX212 2X60 Watt Stereo Guitar Combo:

It's a great value for the price and it packs a punch. The v-tone puts the icing on the cake with tons of effects you will never get bored of messing with. the two channels makes things alot easier especially without a gian gap in between them when switching. This amp is good for clean tone stuff, but the distortion is aweful. I recomend to anyone on a budget who want power and versatility that plays clean stuff only.

Definately a Great Amp.

By CloudedFuture89

Comments about Behringer V-Tone GMX212 2X60 Watt Stereo Guitar Combo:

I went with my uncle today to A guitar shop across town ran by a buddy of my uncle's. Each of the people working there kept reccomending this Amp to me. And my uncle, who does the Amp repiars at that particular shop, has rarely had to work on them, So they are quality amps, And loads of effects. Definately getting your money's worth when buying this. And it is very powerful, I strummed the guitar hooked into this amp. Didn't have the volume up not even halfway yet. It rattled every drum and a couple other things like crazy. So yeah, it's definately a powerhouse, good for performing on stage if you're in a small band.

Great amp with plenty of effects

By Maylene's Music Man

from Maylene, Alabama

Comments about Behringer V-Tone GMX212 2X60 Watt Stereo Guitar Combo:

This amp does everything I want it to do. It is really loud and the effects sound great. My favorite feature is the distortion, there are many different tones you can achieve and they all sound amazing. The clean channel is crisp and sounds good for open chords, slide guitar, and even solos. The best part is that it is easy to use which makes it the perfect amp for beginners. This amp also performs well as an acoustic amp.

Can't go wrong for the money.

By SEE-ARE

from Continental Oh

Comments about Behringer V-Tone GMX212 2X60 Watt Stereo Guitar Combo:

I've owned this amp for a little over 2 years now. Now for $250 you might think this is too good to be true. It's definitley a good amp if you're starting a band and need a decent sized amp. The drawback is of course the noise quality. The sound is kind of muddy and the notes blend together (espeically on the distortion channel). Also, you would think this could a good studio amp with all the outputs on the back, but there is quite an annoying hiss in the distortion channel that you don't find in quality amps. So like I said. Buy it if your just starting a band and you're on a budget. It will be loud enough depending on how the drummer plays. Other than that save your money for a line 6 or a marshall.
