I've been playing for almost 40 years..built single effects kits in the 70's and continued searching for a better sound...trying fender, peavy, dean markley, music man, roland, yamaha, & other amps & Korg, Boss, & other effects ...Now I'm using two behringer vintager 12AX7 tube pre-amps stereo live with 2 V-amp rackmounted pre/effects units. plus I have two behringer V-Amp heads that I run through Marshall stacks rewired for stereo. in the studio, I use a V-amp rack unit direct into the board & sometimes through a ADA stereo amp run through 4 Crate celestion single 12 cabs...The sound versatility I have now is what I've been searching for for almost 40 years...I'll never be without my behringer V-Amps since I have 5. if all 5 stopped working, I'd buy another! One issue folks have had is placing different amp models in the same bank & having a switching glitch/delay or click. If you store the SAME amp model in a bank and vary the effects & gain, you won't have that problem switching! At the price point, it's a nobrainer & just throw away if it ever goes bad. NO PROBLEMS in 6 plus years with all 5 of mine!
This thing rocks! From clean to insane the sounds from this unit are awesome. My only regret is that it doesn't have any pitch shifting capabilities. I operate the unit via the Behringer FCB1010 midi foot controller and never miss a beat.
I have seen a couple of different effects and pedals in my time of playing guitar but i have never seen, or played with one as good as this one. The V-amp Pro has some 10 different amplifier sounds and even more effects to mix in with it. If anyone is looking for an effect proccessor that is its money's worth, go with the v-amp pro!!!!!!!!!
This Amp has a ton of effects that you can use on-the-fly, it is much more portable than carrying around a bunch of effects pedals. This was a great deal for the price I paid. The only drawback is that(as usual) something that is good at everything is not very good at each individual thing. Individual effects pedals seem to give better sound management and quality. This is good for beginners and intermediate guitar players, but experts may want to look at other products if they prefer quality over quantity.
