Comments about Behringer Ultratone KT108 15w Keyboard Amplifier:

This is great for my use. It's loud enough for solo and group practice. I use it for vocals and keys at home and for keys at group practice. The sound isn't good enough for most recording situations, but that's not what I'll use it for. I would recommend this for someone on a budget. It's worth the price and it's very compact and light.

      Really high quality, awesome amp

      By BenC

Comments about Behringer Ultratone KT108 15w Keyboard Amplifier:

This amp is perfect for keyboard and guitar. It doesn't have any distortion, but it has a 3 channel equalizer, 2 inputs, and a CD input (basically the same as the other 2, but without independent volume control) it also has a headphone out. The 15 watt advertised speaker is actually a 20 watt speaker. This prevents you from blowing out the speaker, because the extra 5 watts safeguards you. Really an excellent product, I recommend it highly.

      Good, at half volume

      By mr_z

Comments about Behringer Ultratone KT108 15w Keyboard Amplifier:

An overall good sounding keyboard amplifier, but only capable of moderate volume levels while sounding good. The Good: Fairly good construction, simple and straight-forward at a very good price. The Virtual tube circuitry seems to add a nice (albeit subtle) warmth to the sound. The Bad: This can only be used at about half its volume otherwise there is clipping and distortion. Summary: I was excited to get this and I hooked it up to my Alesis Micron. At low volumes (below 5 setting) and full signal out of the Micron, this sounds very good. However any chord played when the volume is over 5 clips and distorts with a lovely speaker rattle. I ended up returning this item.

      Behringer keyboard Amp

      By Rich Hood

      from Huntingon Beach, CA

Comments about Behringer Ultratone KT108 15w Keyboard Amplifier:

Good sound w/good mix of equalization controls helped me get my sound just right. The concert piano sound was bright and crisp for the upper octaves and low and heavy for the lower octaves. However, if both hands are doing upper octaves close to each other like in classical piano and the volumne is 8,9, or 10 then the amp gets a little feedback. On other keyboard sound styles rock solid. For a practice amp for the bedroom it can't be beat. Extremely good investment buy with confidence.

      versatile amp, great bargain

      By Tyson

Comments about Behringer Ultratone KT108 15w Keyboard Amplifier:

If you are looking for a versatile amp and on a budget, this is the amp you have been searching for. The size is very portable. The sound is flat and so can accomadate a wide range of sound sources. I use it for bass, guitar, sampler, laptop recording monitor, keyboard, you name it. It is not that loud, but that wasn't what I was looking for. Also, I wouldn't say this amp is recording worthy, but a great idea/practice amp.

Great price... good tone... not a lot of power

      By ActionMatt

      from Jersey City, NJ

Comments about Behringer Ultratone KT108 15w Keyboard Amplifier:

There are three things you want in an amp -- tone, reliability and power. The Behringer Ultratone KT108 has one of these nailed. I recently picked one up for my band's Farfisa Pro organ. We're not at the point where we're playing out, and we needed something right now. The KT108 looked like a good deal -- and it is. It produces a very clean tone, with no hum. Considering that the Farfisa is running through an ungrounded 220/110 converter [it's Italian made], and about 38 years old, there are plenty of opportunities for hum. And while there is some from the instrument, the amp itself is quiet and clean, even when the organ's volume is maxed out. Maybe this has something to do with the 20w rated speaker. The Behringer Ultratone KT108 has most of the basic keyboard amp features -- two channels with independent volume controls, a three level equalizer [which has been really useful, given the Farfisa's tendency to favor the low-end] -- and is solidly built. The only real shortcoming is that the amp is prett weak. Yes, it's 15w, but my 15w Vox AD15VT guitar amp at 1/3 volume completely drowns the Behringer out at full volume. In practice, that's not so much of a big deal, since we keep the volumes down a bit but there is no way you could ever gig with the KT108. On the other hand, it's important to keep some perspective here. This amp costs $59.99. That's pretty cheap. Even if we have to borrow, rent or buy something for playing out, this amp has allowed us to practice without having to put a huge amount of the band's budget into the purchase. And after some recent equipment acquisitions -- including the Farfisa -- we're collectively pretty tapped out. When we play out, we'll have to borrow, rent or buy something else, buit at the end of the day, we probably would have had to anyway. The Behringer Ultratone KT108 is a good value for what it is. What it is is a solid, clean though underpowered amp.
