Decent amp at a great price

By Sean Elliott

from Las Vegas, NV

I bought this amp primarily to use at home, and selected it based on some other reviews and because it wouldn't break the bank. I'm no professional by any stretch, but this little amp is great for me at home to get a little extra sound and also to mess around with a four-track recorder. I use it with a Fishman Pro EQ-II pre-amp, which REALLY cleans up the sound for both my acoustic guitar and mandolin. I'd definitely recommend this amp; perhaps not the best choice for playing a gig, but definitely nice for a bit of extra sound at home.

A Great Value in this Little Beauty!

By Mikiko Murdoch

from San Carlos, CA

As with many other reviewers, I was surprised by its clean sound quality and power that typically come in a much more expensive and larger amp. I used to use a 45W Genz Benz acoustic guitar amp (which unfortunately was stolen) for my Takamine Steel string, but was never really attached to the amplified sound of it. Playing the same Takamine through this little Behringer amp, however, I feel I'm getting more of the tonal quality I was expecting from my guitar. Crisp but rich and warm. Now I actually LOVE playing my Takamine amplified. I like the fact that it's so easy to take along to the practice or some casual jams at my friend's house, and that my guitar would not be overpowered by other loud instruments. Since I have a small vocal amp, I haven't tried to plug a vocal mic to it, but may try it someday.

Beautiful Piece of Work

By David Lawter

from Peekskill, NY

This Behringer amp is a perfect acoustic amp. It's well constructed and attractive. But most of all it has a crisp clean and robust sound. This is all you need if you are looking for great acoustic amplification at home or in a variety of performance settings. You probably can't rock out in the Garden, but you'll definitely please people in the local coffee house, bar or club. And the price is perfect. Buy this amp!

Superb Value

By John Patterson

from Copperas Cove, TX

I was amazed at how well this amp performs and expected it to perform less than it actually does. The sound is bright and clear and loud enough to be heard above the singing of our church congregation. I haven't tried the CD input but the mic input works as advertised. My wife can sing on the mic and I can play and both can be heard clearly. Its also rugged enough for me to haul from home to church three times a week and not it not suffer. We are going to purchase three more of these in the coming weeks so that we'll all have one and I won't have to haul mine back and forth anymore.

MY AMP

By Rafael Prota

from Los Angeles, CA

This amp is good priced, light, small, and delivers a very faithfull sound. Sometimes when I'm playing, I turn it off just to make sure it's functioning. The thing is: it has such fidelity to the true sound of my acoustic guitar, and I don't put it very loud, that, I actually get messed up wether the sound I'm listening is coming from the amp or the acoustic guitar. Very nice. I gave it a four because I wanted a certain color and I got it! But out of luck. There's no way to choose the color when ordering. And I must admit the possibility that the Acoustic AG15 has even better sound because it reacts better to the low (I had the chance to play it swiftly before I went for the Behringer). The better result with the lows on the AG15 is maybe due to the speaker, but I'm suspicious it's also because of the shape of it's box. But where it tryumphs it also fails because the larger box may provide a better sound but also makes it bigger in general size and considerably heavier. In addition the AG15 is more expensive. It all comes down to what do you need. To finalize: It's a fine amp. I'm very satisfied!

JUST SUPER...

By sue

from mi

I have had this amp for 2 years now. Bought it to use with a fishman sound hole pickup for my Fender Accoustic, however I soon tired of the cord hanging out of the sound hole. So, I bought an Ibanez Accoustic Electric. This amp rocks with it. The sound is great.. there are many plus features to this amp, guitar, mike, cd imput and for private sessions a headphone jack. With a three band equilizer you will never sound better. The only think I wish it has also, was reverb... but all and all great deal for the price.

Great Little AMP

By wemitchell3

from Nashville, TN

This is a really good AMP for the money. Probably not the right thing for live performances but it is exactly what I was looking for. It amplifies both my guitar and my voice. It has the XLR input for the mic and an input for a standard patch cable. You can even hook up and additional line such as your stereo or CD/IPOD. This AMP is well worth the money for its size, construction and sound quality.
