I bought the berhinger bxl3000 about 2 months ago. I like the power and all the different options for tone, But i will tell you this if you are going to gig with it dont buy it becuase eventualy you will want or need a 4x10 cab to get through the rest ov your band. the reason i say dont buy it is becuase it will not power an extension cabinet. I bought a galian kruger 4x10 400w cab. thinking it would be able to run it becuase of the line out and also the fact it has a DI built into it who in there right mind would design an amp that cant run an extension Right! well i pluged it in and what do you know it will not becuase those outlets are powered so i caled the berhinger company and asked them thinking maybe i was just uneducated about the whole thing they confirmed what i had descovered and no you cannot run an extension from this amp. so now i have to buy another head to run the extension I just bought a fender rumble 350w head and i am selling my berhinger

nice one

Comments about Behringer Ultrabass BXL3000 300W 1x15" Bass Combo:

Well i bought this amp. And the Behringer ULTRABASS BXL3000 300W is loud enough for gigs thats for sure. When i use this at band practice, the guitarists and the keyboards are drowned out if i use this up loud enough haha. The 2nd channel is cool, its like a distortion/overdrive thing, it really works. th ultrabass is wierd but awesome, my dad says he thinks its a octave divider but its cool. the compresser is a good thing to have too. i love the eq knobs. this is a very good amp for the price. My dad is a little jeleas bc this is almost as loud as his full stack he uses from ampeg. So if you want massive volume for you this is a good choice!!

Everything Is Relative

By Steve Bradfield

from Salt Lake City, Utah

Comments about Behringer Ultrabass BXL3000 300W 1x15" Bass Combo:

When my band started writing again I needed a new amp, something affordable. I ordered this one from Guitar Center online. With my old el-cheapo Ibanez this thing was perfect! I never turned it up past 3, and for the smaller clubs we were playing it was perfect. I'm sure I could easily blow it up if I cranked it up, but with my new Ibanez SR505 I only turn it up to 2 and it keeps up with both guitar players' Marshalls. The new 5-string and this amp love each other, and give out some amazing sounds. When I upgrade it will be another Behringer.

Behringer Boom Boom Bass Amp

By Boom Boom Bass

from Tacoma, WA

Comments about Behringer Ultrabass BXL3000 300W 1x15" Bass Combo:

Wow! This 300 watt amp is booming! I was looking for something to use that had more punch than my practice amp while playing with friends. This was on sale for the same price as the 65 watt amp I was interested in. Wow! I took it home and tried it out. I could only turn it up to level 3 volume because it rummbled my whole house! It sounds great! I'm still working on using the 2nd channel, ultrabass, and compressor to create additional sounds that I want. The manual doesn't provide clear instructions on "how" to get the sound you want. Wow! I love this amp!

Excellent Bass Amp

By Sternodox

from Little Rock, AR

Comments about Behringer Ultrabass BXL3000 300W 1x15" Bass Combo:

Really surprised by the sheer amount of sound I get from this amp. At 60 lbs. it's portable enough to carry. It easily buries the two guitarists in my band. The overdrive (distortion) channel really works, and sounds awesome. The "ultrabass" function is sort of strange - it's actually an octave divider; or at least that's what it sounds like. Big speaker and big sound in a small package. I'm very pleased.

what an amp

By bassman

from Portland Oregon

Comments about Behringer Ultrabass BXL3000 300W 1x15" Bass Combo:

this is an awsome amp, the one that i had before had a horrible sound, and just not big enough. this is a big improvement, and the ultrabass works good, it shakes my walls, and best of all, makes my mom tell me to turn it down. but for the price ot's a good amp, and proud to own it.

Comments about Behringer Ultrabass BXL3000 300W 1x15" Bass Combo:

Amazing sound for the price. This amp blows combos costing five times as much out of the water. I love the second channel (overdrive/distortion) and the EQ settings. Highly recommend this to any bassist who's tired of lugging a couple hundred pounds of gear around. This amp ROCKS!

Not Bad

By Matt

from PA

Comments about Behringer Ultrabass BXL3000 300W 1x15" Bass Combo:

This amp is very good for the price. During shows, I usually set up near the drums and I can still manage to come above the drums on 2, as well as the guitars. The only think that can get iffy is that if you pick hard, you can get that dreaded farting noise, but it's not horrible. The distortion channel is nice, adds a slight distortion sound and adds some depth to solos. The Ultrabass (octave divider) feature is ok; if you put it over 8 it starts to get muddy, but at 6.5-7 it adds a very nice lower, punchier sound. Overall, this is a great amp for everyone from gigging beginners to intermediate players who are on a tight budget.

All around great amp

By Andrew

from Warren, Pennsylvania

Comments about Behringer Ultrabass BXL3000 300W 1x15" Bass Combo:

Awesome amp if your looking for an inexpensive combo that has some serious power. I was amazed how loud it went when I first got it and turned it up to ten. I can drown everyone else who I play with out if I really want to. The different channel and ultrabass sound amazing as well. There's really no need to purchase an overdrive pedal because the ultrabass sounds just like it. If you don't want to spend an arm and a leg for a great bass amp, look no further.

Amp will do the job. Very versatile settings, so you can model your sound. Foot switch also a plus. This one is loud enough for quite an assortment of venues. For the price I don't think you'll be un happy......I'm not.

Comments about Behringer Ultrabass BXL3000 300W 1x15" Bass Combo:

This amp is awesome! From the moment I plugged it in I knew this was the amp I have been looking for. It has so many options and lets you make your own distinct tone between two channels. The Ultrabass feature creates some interesting tones and can sound massive when used with the second channel. Bottom line this amp knocks things off your walls and makes lead guitar players jealous (since I got it my lead guitar player has started shopping for a new amp).

Comments about Behringer Ultrabass BXL3000 300W 1x15" Bass Combo:

I just got this amp today and as soon as I plugged my bass in, it exploded. The quality is amazing and the pure volume is intense. The lowest settings still shake my walls and I can't wait to see what kind of power it can haul. It's a great price, awesome power and has a quite the few settings to play around with. If you're looking at a new amp get this one now.

An Awesome Amp!!!

By Haley (SOS)

from Rancho Cucamonga, CA

Comments about Behringer Ultrabass BXL3000 300W 1x15" Bass Combo:

This bass amp is hella awesome!!! It was definitely an upgrade from my Fender Rumble 15-watt that I first got in a starter set. I can easily keep up with my guitarist and drummer with this amp. I barely have to turn it up half way at practice to be heard, and personally, I think bass should definitely be heard. Everything this amp has to offer is pretty good for its price, and it's definitely worth it. So if you're looking for a quality bass amp that's really loud, this amp's perfect!!! The only problem that I have with this amp, is that at its solid 60-65 lbs., this amp is pretty heavy for a little petite girl like me to carry around. But that's what roadies are for!!! lol

Not as good as advertised

By Fred

from Rockville, MD

Comments about Behringer Ultrabass BXL3000 300W 1x15" Bass Combo:

This amp has some nice features for a $300 amp, but when the rest of your band is putting out even a third of that much, the BXL3000 just won't cut it. The tone really isn't that good, and it actually only puts out 250 watts. Turn it up even 3/4 of the way and you have a chance of blowing it out. Still, if you need the volume and you're short on funds, this amp gives you quite a bang for your buck.

Best bass amp for the bucks

By Pete

from fort atkinson, wi

Comments about Behringer Ultrabass BXL3000 300W 1x15" Bass Combo:

Our band has tried many bass amps and this one has been the best of the lot! We played a gig Menmorial weekend and this amp was used by three different bands. All three bass players commented on how great the thing sounds and how well the EQ works. It also has the ultra bass feature that blew us all away. A great amp at a super price. Buy it you will not be sorry.

Amazing amp for the price!

By grace wilson

from ridgefield park, new jersey

Comments about Behringer Ultrabass BXL3000 300W 1x15" Bass Combo:

This amp is truly amazing! At first i was slightly skeptical about it. Yesterday, however, i used it in an outdoor gig. That amp could be hear several blocks away..not even at full volume, mind you. It does get slightly fuzzy when you tilt it up, but besides that it's great. Ultrabass is an amazing affect.
