I am using this amp for keyboard & voice mixing. It does the job well. I have a Yahama PSRGX 76 keyboard and it works great. I do not use the special effects built into the amp because, I have them on the keyboard. The 5 band equalizer gives exelent sound shaping and makes the vocals sound great. I think this would also make a great guitar amp because of the special effects that are built into the amp.

I bought this to use at home and small parties. I used this to hook up to my karaoke computer instead of hooking up my big PA system. The music was ok but the vocals seem muffled. I bought the next modle up that also has a horn and it is much cleaner sound. They are both good units depending on your use.

Behringer ULTRATONE K450FX Keyboard Amp/PA System (#480784V)

By Loren Bodi

from High Springs Florida

Really like this amp. I use the balanced input for a mic and the 1/4" for my guitar. I have a output control on my Ibaneze so can balance the 2 together. That leaves me 2 inputs for other instruments. I had problems with other amps not having enough "PUNCH" and had extra hookup with an external mixer. I use the "KISS" technique. "keep it simple stupid". It really simplified my setup. Also liked the balanced input for mic as it gave me more output from my old Electrovoice Mic.

Very Nice for the price

By Keenan D. McNeace

from Denver, CO

The amp arrived quicker than I anticpated; it was well packaged and a joy to see. Very compact, but packs an awesome punch! I have it for my digital piano and it provides for great pick up in the open space I have positioned them in.

Bad Amp

By Mark

from San Ramon

I own this amp and at 1st I liked it because it was louder then my old amp. I'm in a garage band and we play small gigs. I have used this amp for more then a year and I wish that I have never bought it...It blew out like 5 times and the volume keeps on decreasing even though I never touch the volume knob. The only good thing about this amp that it has a hard case and it protected. Don't get this amp because it will blow out on you and also this amp cant handle the low sounds. I have an Alesis Micron and on some settings this amp cant even handle it....Don't get

Great amp for V-Drums

By Tim Foss

from Arcade, N.Y.

First of, I love this amp. I bought it for the purpose of playing my Electronic Drum Kit. While playing I always have an mp3 player hooked up playing all instruments to a song except the drums, this amp handles them flawlessly. All instruments come out sounding clean and crisp, and not all smashed together like you commonly hear in cheaper amps. I'll admit, it could be a bit better at playing dual channel audio (like right ear and left ear on headphones), but for the price tag on it you shouldn't expect that. If you're looking for an amp to play your v-drums with, this is a great amp with a very reasonable price tag.

Great,Clean Practice Amp

By Hunter

from Battle Creek, Michigan

I got this amp for Casio keyboard. All the bass note come out very clear this is very easily its best feature. It works great as well as a amp to run iPod and MP3's trough with mixer feature. The only complaint is when running a mic it easily attracts feedback , but for the size and price its a great buy.

Does what i asked it to do...

By Jacob S.

from Dallas, Texas

I have had this amp for about a year now, and I use it as a practice amp in my bedroom for my keyboards, guitar, bass, drum machine, and mics all at the same time(i had to get a mixer when i ran out of inputs). It is loud enough to play a small house party on its own. Its nice to have multiple inputs to plug in multiple instruments, but if you put in more then 2 your sound will get somewhat distorted(that's another reason why i plug in everything into a mixer before it goes into the amp). I highly recommend this for anybody on a tight budget.

Nice amp for the price

By Bob B

from Wichita, KS

I picked up this K450FX at GC last year and it has been consistently good. Used at home through my M Audio Fast Track Pro and AKG Perception mic, along with my Yamaha keyboard, I'm totally satisfied with the tone and sound. For gigs, I will get something more powerful, but for my present needs this keyboard amp performs well for the money. No problems at all! I like the EQ too, nice touch. Effects are mild, but I record clean anyway, so for me it's perfect. Worth checking it out if this is your price range.

Junk

By John Worrell

from colorado springs

I use this amp to test my bass and touch-style guitars. The low b on a bass sounds distorded, the sound is terrable. I know if one of my instruments sound fairly good on this amp it sounds great on anything else. The volume pot on channel one went out. I'm glad I purchased the extended warranty. A friend of mine has a Roland amp about the same size, what a tonal differance between the two. If you need a small amp look for something else.

I love my amp. It's a lifesaver for small gigs and keeps me from having to carry a lot of equipment.
