Overview

Setting up amps, dialing in tones and positioning mics takes a lot of time and patience. Why not step on a TM300 Tube Amp Modeler and skip straight to the good part?

With 3 classic tube amps, 3 gain modes and 3 mic placements to choose from, the TM300 puts 27 combinations of some of the most sought-after tube amp tones right at your feet.

In this one simple pedal, you can call up the sound of a coveted tweed relic, a clean Californian classic or a roaring British powerhouse. You then apply your choice of the three different gain modes, and even control virtual mic placement. And with its dedicated Level, Low, High and Drive dials, the TM300 allows you to take any of these historic tones and shape them into something uniquely all your own.

The bright, blue LED tells you when the TM300 is activated, and the top-quality on/off switch maintains incredible signal integrity in bypass mode. You can power this little "jack-of-all-trades" with either a 9V battery or our PSU-SB DC power supply (not included).

Why spend all your time lugging gear, tweaking knobs on multiple amps and playing pin-the-mic-on-the-grill? Get a TM300, and do what you do best-make music!

Good first pedal

By Esteban Gonzalez

from Mexico City

When you buy your first basic tube amp (like me) you quickly learn that the number of sounds you can get straight into the amp are limited. You want each song you play to sound more authentic and begin searching for pedals and stuff to help. Then it hits you- There are TONS of pedals out there, many costing over $100 each! Enter the $25 TM300. Yeah, it's plastic. And what tour are you going on this year? The number of sounds you can get and the simplicity of this pedal makes it a must have if you don't have anything yet. Until getting this pedal, I wasn't quite happy with the sounds I was making on my Les Paul. A little too jazzy. With my modeling amps I could get distorted sounds, but they always seemed a bit muddy and processed. The TM300 has breathed life back into my Les Paul I have a lot more options and can even plug this thing into my modeling amps and use it instead of the onboard selections. MUCH cleaner. It is intuitive to use but has so much flexibility that it will take you some time to figure out exactly how you want to use it. Again, it's only $25, so you can afford now to buy the Behringer Compressor Sustainer CS400, and maybe even get a digital delay or chorus, flanger or tremolo. Besides the plastic housing, the only thing I can say negative is that it does burn thru 9v batteries so you have to remember to unplug it when done playing. Also accessing the battery compartment is a slight inconvenience, but you can get fast at it with practice.

A lot of sound in a little box!

By W. Liang Myers

from Corpus Christi, Texas

This pedal exceeded my expectations to an overwhelming level. This is the first pedal I've owned but I have played friends effect pedals and pedal boards, this one is sound wise right next to boss! Of course 25 bucks only buys you so much so the plastic case does demand that you be gentle when engaging it. Small price to pay for all the possibilities provided by this pedal. My plan was to buy first the tube amp modeler, then distortion, and fuzz pedals. The tube amp modeler can make distortion with ease, and every kind of vintage fuzz you can dream of. I've read reviews on other sites whining about the battery only lasting 20 minutes, I have been using the same batt for 2 weeks with several heavy playing days. Use good batteries, and don't turn the pedal up all the way on every knob, let your amp do some work too.

Read this, then buy it

By allen mark

from Traverse City, MI

I bought one about a year ago. It has plenty of gain for metal, totally clean glassy tone or a good fender blues. There are lots of options boogie, Marshall type settings. I have owned a lot of great gear and run this through a marshall head and a randall combo and it sound great. It is plastic so don't drop it or jump on it. I've had no problems with it. Love the tone better than any expensive distortion pedals i've used.
