The SX3242FX EURODESK mixer is designed to meet the needs of studio and live mixing applications, with a comprehensive set of features that combine sonic excellence and a full complement of mixing & sound modification tools.

This 4-bus audio mixer features ultralow noise, high-headroom XENYX microphone preamps. Mono input channels feature three-band, semi-parametric mid-range EQ with Neo-classic "British" response. Behringer 's stereo input channels provide precise four-band equalization. Each input has four aux sends with two sends switchable between pre/post fader, for a flexible mix of monitor and effects applications.

The EURODESK's external signal processing racks can be largely eliminated, thanks to the two integrated effects processors and stereo 9-band graphic EQ. One-hundred 24-bit / 96kHz studio-quality effects presets can be called-up and assigned to one or both internal effects buses. Main or Monitor output EQ is set and fine-tuned with the intuitive FBQ Feedback Detection display.

When external processing is required, the SX3242FX provides extensive insert patch-points for input channels and main outputs. The Master section offers a wealth of features such as multiple aux and stereo returns, switchable SIP / PFL monitoring, Talkback, metering and more.

The mixer's internal auto-ranging power supply (100 240V), gold-plated XLR output connectors and rugged steel construction ensure that this console will travel anywhere to tackle any recording or mixing task with professional audio quality.

Good for 2 years..

By Luke

from Goose, Creek, SC

Same as another review. Great board to start out with. Worked perfectly. But... Our left went out also across the whole board, so we lost stereo and had to go to mono. Then about 4 of our channels went out and stopped working. The latest adventure of the day is the main out works sometimes and then doesn't. The only fix I have had is to shut the power off, and then turn the power to the board back on. We are currently looking for another new board, and most likely will not choose behringer again.

Good for the price.

By C. Love

I have had this mixer for about a year now. Used it for one gig and about forty practices. For the price it gets you going while you save for your dream mixer. Pretty clean sound and the effects are great. Lot's of versatility with this board. I heard about channels going out and stuff so I bought the three year free replacement guarantee. So far no problems. By the time this board dies we will be ready for a Mackie or an Allen and Heath. Great entry level mixer with lot's of mic pre's! I gave it four stars because it does everything it says it will, has given me no problems and is affordable.

Good price and features

By John Thompson

from Clive, IA

Well the price is awesome for the amount of channels and effects you get. Other than that, not a real great mixer, I have owned it for around 3 years and used it for about 50 gigs and around 200 practices. In two years, the left side went out, so we used it on mono. Now, there has been three different channels that have died as well. The noise levels it has is a bit high and the EQ isn't that great, but the effects are decent considering the price. The faders aren't that great either, as we lost many knobs and faders that have broke in the past two years. We are moving on from this model now and going to spend much more for something better. If you can take great care of it and keep it in one place without moving it around much and aren't planning to gig with it, it is a great practice piece.

what you need most for what you can afford

By bilbo

from Kansas City MO

this is a good mixer..lots of features, good sound and low price. I can hear the difference in the preamps from the previous series. The controls are all very smoothe and solid. The features are perfect for the weekend warrior..lots of what you really need with none of what you don't want to pay extra for. That's really it. The urban legends about poor reliability are way overblown from what i've read. A strong, vocal minority blasting away now that the internet provides a world-wide grumbling platform. Buy this, you won't regret it.
