It might seems strange to read that my experience with this pedal is different from another review that claims that the unit is superb. Please, keep in mind that this review is for those who intend to use FCV100 Volume Pedal with a guitar amplifier. The pedal seems rugged and well-put together. Access to the battery is fine, you need a Phillips screwdriver. Some complain that it is difficult to change it. Well, try changing the battery of a Classic CryBaby, wah wah pedal. Stereo input allows you to output two signals. You may have to split the mono signal from your guitar and split it into two input plugs for stereo output. Sound output NOISY!!! Makes the unit useless for audio recording (live or in the studio). FOr live applications, this is a cheap way to control volume. Most likely, if you have a master volume control already on your guitar, it will be a better option. Ideally, it is best to spend money on a professional volume pedal without white noise issues. The minimum volume control is supposed to give you the option of setting the volume for rhythm (low) or leads (high). The brand new pedal I have amplifies the white noise for leads and no matter how much you try to determine how low the volume should be for rhythm, the potentiometer must be in dialed to 10 to get any volume. Anything less, just silences the pedal. Either this unit is defective or it was built to be nothing but a classic Behringer unreliable piece of equipment. If the pedal is defective, then Behringer should replace it or return the money. In my estimation, it is useless for real life application. You always need a quiet volume pedal. The purchase of this equipment will make you pay to ad white noise to your signal. This is my personal experience with this device.

I was very dissapointed

By Scott Wiewel

from OKC, OK

Comments about Behringer FCV100 Dual Mode Footcontroller:

I wanted a volume pedal for a decent price to play a GIG with! this one, although it works great, has a power supply that is impossible to find anywhere! they dont even sell them online! so unless you want to run your whole board off volume i'd recomend another pedal.

Works GREAT for my Bass Guitar!

By S. Carter

from Alexandria, VA

Comments about Behringer FCV100 Dual Mode Footcontroller:

I use this pedal as a volume control for my Bass. It is placed it between my Bass and my Digitech BP-200 to control my volume without removing my hand(s) from the instrument (the expression pedal on the BP-200 is only used for the effects level adjustment). Now I can change my volume in mid-song for those "quiet" passages. The weight of this pedal and the rubberized foot and base surfaces make sure it stays where I put it and my foot doesn't slip off. I play for church services and had to change the 9V battery only once in the last year! If you are using internal battery power - make sure you unplug your cables from this device when you are not using it to turn it off. For longer "concerts" find the AC adapter (not included). I like it so much that I'm buying a second one for my guitar "effects chain"!

Great QUIET Pedal

By Paul from Texas

from San Antonio, TX

Comments about Behringer FCV100 Dual Mode Footcontroller:

Why would an aging keyboard player want to replace his super-lightweight stereo pedals for something that is much heavier and requires an external power supply? Simple. These pedals are voltage coupled and are incredibly smooth and studio-quality quiet. I have three complete PA system setups, and I use two of these pedals with each of my PA systems to control stereo secondary voices such as strings and organ sounds. They are fantastic! I was having to replace my potentiometer-based pedals anywhere for 18 months to a year, because thee pots would get scratchy, or just flat wear out. No such problem here! What's more, you cannot beat the price! These consume very little power, so even a small wall wart can easily power the two pedals in my setup. A bargain!!!!

Comments about Behringer FCV100 Dual Mode Footcontroller:

Use it the control the keyboard volume during performance. Seems to add a lot of noise and broke after 3 months of light use. The LED does not turn on either with 12V DC power supply or 9V battery.

I was very disappointed that there was no power supply included for the device and no instructions on how to get to the battery or even where it is at!!!. I am still mystified after spending fifteen minutes looking, tugging and sliding everything.

I don't think it said that the power adapter wasn't included. You need to buy a 12v adapter for it.

Does not work with Roland VR-09

    By Jeffrey

Comments about Behringer FCV100 Dual Mode Footcontroller:

I bought the pedal as an expression pedal for a Roland VR-09 keyboard. Seems to be well-built and sturdy, but the instructions didn't tell you how to install the battery...there is a screw on the bottom that will release the base. Plugged it in and it works but backwards! With the pedal all the way up (45 degree or so), it has the top volume, while when pushed all the way down, it has minimal volume (whatever you set it to). This is exactly opposite of how the pedal is supposed to work. Disappointing for an otherwise seemingly decent product. It just doesn't work with my keyboard. I shoulda bought that Moog pedal....

    How do I charge this?

    By Cameron

    from Mattawan Michigan

Comments about Behringer FCV100 Dual Mode Footcontroller:

I bought this volume pedal for my guitar and it's very smooth and good for the price but there's nothing to charge it with unless using laptop chargers or keyboard adaptors wont permanently damage it?? Recommend finding something else unless you can find something to charge this thing with.
