Amazing for the price

By Tim

from Milwaukee, WI

Comments about Behringer Eurorack UB1202 Mixer:

After spending years trying to get the right sound out of my basement studio, I looked into one of these. I own the 1204, and can't believe how good it sounds. The only drawbacks to it are things that I knew going into it: - Phantom Power is either on or off, which means that my vocal mic can't use an XLR input while my condensers are in use. - There is no preamp for channels 5-12. - It's probably not rugged enough for gigging (mine just sits on my desk next to my computer) Other than those features, the preamps are incredible, the FX are more than adequate, and the sound quality is far better than anything digital. I've stopped relying on Logic Express to provide FX and EQ and now I just record straight stereo tracks EQed and panned on the XENYX. I use a 2 input M-Audio MicroPre USB to record stereo tracks. The XENYX output goes right into the M-Audio box's channels 1 and 2, which I set up as a single stereo track on Logic Express. I have two large diaphragm condensers and one small diaphragm which covers the recording of my acoustic instruments (in stereo, of course). I haven't tried the piano yet, but I'm sure that my set up would do a good job of capturing it too. Really quite an amazing bargain for the basement studio. I wish I had the money for a larger mixer, but this is far better than anything I've used before. WELL WORTH THE MONEY. I did, by recommendation of a friend, purchase the extended warranty. It's about $20 and covers anything and everything. I figured that if a knob falls off or a preamp goes out over the next two years, the warranty would be worth it.

Good Mixer

By Will

from Ohio

Comments about Behringer Eurorack UB1202 Mixer:

This mixer is absolutely great! I have been using it for some time now and it does a great job. The only feature I dont like about it is the preamps, they are not the best, the are seemingly cold. This is fixable by leaving the built in preamp off and adding a seprate preamp of your choice.

awsome!!!!!!!!!!

By Shae

from Seattle Washington

Comments about Behringer Eurorack UB1202 Mixer:

I bought a UB1202 while back cause I needed an extra mixer for practice and submixing prior to going into my PC. I really was suprised at how quiet the pre's were on here and it has turned out to be a rather good little mixer for just about anything I need it for. No it won't replace my expensive vocal rack gear, so I haven't tried running a mic through it, but for the price you can't go wrong with this one, it's another amazing Behringer deal where you'd easily pay twice the price for something similar from another manufacturer.

Behringer Eurorack UB1202

By LostDogRecording

from Nashville, Tn

Comments about Behringer Eurorack UB1202 Mixer:

I am a Producer/Engineer from Nashville and use the eurorack ub1202 as my primary cue mixer. It offers the cleanest front end of any of the small mixers. It is hard to find any cue mixer that can come close to the features for the price. The headphone jack provides plenty of output without distortion and the eq section provides all the adjustments anyone could need. I orignially purchased one ub1202 because of it's smaller size replacing a mackie 1202. I have since converted all my cue mixers to the ub1202 and would highly suggest this to anyone looking for an affordable cue mixer, control room mixer or an "in the pinch" mixer for any application.

Great Product

By Michael McDermott

from Blacksburg

Comments about Behringer Eurorack UB1202 Mixer:

I bought this mixer over a year and it is still like I just got it out of the box. I wanted a mixer that was cheap but had a decent amount of inputs and this was the one. It is also very easy to use, especially in regards to it's outputs. I hook it up th my computer through a berhinger U-control which is also a great product. This is a great buy for someone who wants a versatile mixer that isn't too expensive.

The Eurorack 1202

By ChrisL

from Dallas, TX

Comments about Behringer Eurorack UB1202 Mixer:

I originally bought this mixer because it was inexpensive and had plenty of channels. When I got it, I found out I bought a lot better than just some cheap mixer. I've always known Behringer to be a great company and this is proof of it. The built in Phantom Power works great for my condensers, and there are enough inputs for miking drums. This is a great home and live mixer, especially if you are a solo musician or in a small band. There is very little distortion and the tone it outputs is great. This is deffinently a good buy!
