Comments about Behringer Eurodesk SL2442FX-PRO Mixer:
I picked up this mixer a short while ago and have used it for several gigs with my sound company. My previous board took a fatal blow, so I needed something fast and relatively cheap. Overall I'm fairly impressed with the SL2442FX-Pro, but there are a few things that bug me. First there are only 2 pre-fader sends, which means only 2 monitor mixes for me, and the mute button doesn't mute the aux sends! On the other hand, the tape in has a volume control (unlike previous Behringer products) and a "Standby" switch that mutes all channels on the board except for the tape in control. The board has a pretty clean sound and good gain structure, I wouldn't rely on the internal effects, though they're ok in a pinch. If you need a decent board on a small budget go for this one, it's good for beginners too.
