Good amp for the money

By gguillo

from Little Rock, AR

Comments about Behringer EuroPower EP2500 Power Amp:

These 2500s are pretty solid amps. They claim to have a 2400 watt rating @ 4 ohms bridged. I would say its more around the 1800-2000 watt range (that's still a lot!). I would recommend these to anyone who is pushing some good quality mains such as: JBL MRX 525s, JBL MRX 515s or even some of the JBL MPRO series. I would also recommend using these on the MRX series subs such as the 518s pr 528s. For the price it is worth buying 2 and bridging each of them to each main or sub. This amp has a decent damping factor @ >300. So you know your mids, mid-lows, and lows will be pretty tight. I had a couple of these ran to some JBL MRX series mains and subs. Unfortunately all of our gear got stolen and these happen to be in the trailer. I switched to QSC 3602s because now I am running JBL SRX series mains and subs. I must say I was pretty impressed with the power and durability of this Europower 2500 Amp. Hope this helps!

Got more then what I thought I paid for!!

By Bill

from Saint Peter, MN

Comments about Behringer EuroPower EP2500 Power Amp:

I bought 4 of these to hook up to 4 JBL MRX 515 2 JBL MRX Monitors and 2 MPRO Passive Subs. I had been told by some audio technicians that these amps were basically the same design as the QSC RMX 2450. I got all 4 of the amos for less then the price of 2 of the QSCۡs and they rock!! These amps are quiet, load without distortion, and and have plenty of power to drive these awesome speakers with no problem. I always worry about buying something that is cheaper because I live by the theory you get what you pay for. Well for once in my life I feel like I got more then I paid for but in a good way. Thanks for a great product at a great price! Bill

The EP2500's are really an amazing amp, I have 2 of them one in stereo mode running two dual 15 inch peavey cabs, and the other running in bridge for my behringer 18" sub!!! The venues I dj keep asking me to turn it down!!! Never have turned them up all the way yet, they could hear them 6 blocks from the place, I was inside!!!! These amps have never once failed me. I have played about 35 gigs with these amps now!!!Best value for the money!!!

OMG! It's true!

By Jack

from Chicago

Comments about Behringer EuroPower EP2500 Power Amp:

I bought this amp to power a smaller EV system I own. It has never given me any problems.Never worked it hard at all,so I didn't really know its true power. I also have a Crown MT2402 that is being service for cleaning and wont be ready for for several days. I had an unexpected gig to come up and didn't have a powerful enough amp to run my EV T-18 subs. My rental place was closed. What to do? I pulled out the Behringer 2500 and crossed my fingers. I had block party to do in 85 degree weather. I mono bridged it and prayed. This amp ran @ about 65% power for 7 hours straight! Not one single problem! My EV's sounded great. I didn't touch that amp once. I've heard sales people(not @ GC) say it wont perform like a QSC. They lied.

dj ONE

By dj ONE

from Paterson,NJ

Comments about Behringer EuroPower EP2500 Power Amp:

I had just started mobile DJ-ing in the tri-state. I needed power & budget friendly solution. Went down to GC, and picked up one. Hooked em' up to Yamaha S215v dual 18 inch, and have had it since mid 2006 to mid 2007...no problems,no heating, as in good service. I use them almost daily in my house during practice sessions,(forced my neighbours out though!) Bottom line, underated device, phenominal perfomance and best value. If i get Subs, guess whats gonna power them? Yup! The Behringer 2.5

SUPER PUNCH

By Dj-Lex

from Brooklyn, NY

Comments about Behringer EuroPower EP2500 Power Amp:

I always went with qsc or crown but they were costing me too much for no reason. when i got the behringer 2500 my worries wer out the window. im a mobile dj and i always had my qsc and crown always overheat and get weaker every other party. Now with this amp instead of putting up the volume i put it down is a super punch the crowd would definally notice the difference, i plan to buy another.

The EP2500 Best Amp Hands Down!

By THE RICKMYSTER

from San Antonio, Texas

Comments about Behringer EuroPower EP2500 Power Amp:

I have had a EP2500 for a year now and it has never let me down! Yes you can spend a lot more for a QSC 2450, but why? Take off the case and they are the same! Plus the Behringer EP2500 is half the price! Buying the EP2500 is a WIN! WIN! situation! I run mine 5 hours a night 5 nights a week powering a pair of Peavey PR15's doing Karaoke! The EP2500 is clear and quiet and keeps pumping out all the power I need! I will be buying a second EP2500 to power my 18" Behringer E1800X Subs. The EP2500 is 5's right across the board!

The little dollar that could.....

By Kimlang Lewis

from Alameda, Ca

Comments about Behringer EuroPower EP2500 Power Amp:

In reality, this ep2500 model is an exact duplicate of the qsc rmx series; more notably the rmx2450. The specifications for both are the same. The price is the main difference is all. Contrary to what many people perceive of behringer to throw cheap after cheap imitations onto the market, only their mixer line is not at premium. I happen to have this and other signal processors by behringer, and I cannot note any difference in quality, especially if you are one that knows how to manage all his/her gains on his/her preamp levels. Anyone starting out a gig, or in my case, strict budget for a church, try these. You will not be disappointed.
