Whether you need a PA system for a metal band, a church or a one-man show, you want a speaker that sounds great at whisper level—but can also fill the house if needed. The Behringer EUROLIVE VP1220D takes all the guesswork out of matching the right speakers with the right amplifiers and crossover points, providing plug-and-play loudspeakers that are designed for hassle-free use and optimal performance.
Superior Sound Quality
The Behringer EUROLIVE VP1220D loudspeaker system features 550 Watts of Class D output power housed in a lightweight cabinet that is ergonomically designed and as a result, really easy to transport and maneuver around a stage area. It has a high-efficiency 12" woofer, for warm and present bass, and a 1.75" titanium driver, for crystal-clear high-end resolution. The internal amplifiers and speakers are designed to function as a perfectly matched team, ensuring great sound every time. There are also Bass and Treble master tone controls as well as an overall level control.
Class-D amplification offers the ultimate in energy efficiency and eliminating the need for heavy power supplies and big, heavy heat sinks. This amazing technology results in significantly lighter in weight than conventional power amps, while using less energy. That's good for you, the club and environment.
The biamp difference
A true biamped system, the VP1220D separates its available power into two, a 450W section that drives the 12" woofer, and a 100W power amp that drives the titanium HF driver. The crossover component engages before amplification, resulting in both power amps working less hard and providing greater clarity and presence.
The conventional wisdom in purchasing home stereo is to spend half of your available resources on your speakers. After all, that is the part of the system that you are actually going to listen to. Behringer's LF (Low Frequency) and HF (High Frequency) transducers are designed specifically for each application. Behringer transducers inside have been engineered to perform flawlessly with every other element for professional results. The VP1220D cranks out massive quantities of low end, with articulate, detailed mids and crystal-clear highs.
Easy to cart, easy to set up, versatile
Thanks to its trapezoidal shape, the VP1220D is suitable for a wide variety of applications, such as mounting on standard speaker poles, vertical placement atop subwoofers, or even laid on the side for use as onstage monitor wedges. The VP1220D’s extraordinary fidelity and frequency response make them a favorite of vocalists and instrumentalists alike. Hookup is simple, requiring only a single XLR or 1⁄4" cable from your mixing console and power. Additional active monitors can be chained together via the XLR Link Output jack on the rear panel.
High-frequency (HF) content can easily make or break your performance. Too much and the sound becomes brittle and obnoxious, too little and it sounds muddy and poorly defined. The EUROLIVE DSP Series’ 1.75" titanium-diaphragm compression driver provides natural-sounding high end, with an ultra-wide 90° x 45° sound dispersion pattern.

I play Christian Rock and play numerous shows a year. I bought two of these to use as monitors and possibly mains for smaller shows. These speakers will not work as monitors unless you "rig" them to be propped up. All corners are nearly ninety degrees and the handle sticks out making them wobble (Despite their claim of "Trapezoidal" design). Had to prop them up vertically with a guitar stand to use them as monitors for a show and they worked fine. I love the carpeted and wood shell. Not too heavy either. I will be returning them for EV ZLX 12's.
