BEHRINGER's EUROLIVE B1800D-PRO 18" active subwoofer is packed with an incredible array of truly professional features to provide you with extreme levels of low-end punch while also giving you the kind of definition and clarity typically reserved for much larger systems.

Class-D amplifiers (with switch-mode power supplies) drive the custom-designed low frequency drivers for sonically optimized output. The B1800D-PRO also provides you with a much better power-to weight ratio than other 1400W active subwoofers.

Put simply, this cool-running system is much lighter, making it ultra-easy to transport and set up. Its no-compromise design means you get amazingly-deep, chest-pounding bass that will keep the party going all night long. Buy a pair to add a more complete bottom-end for your active full-range speaker system.

What is Class-D Technology?
Instead of operating relatively continuously like Class AB circuits, Class-D amps switch on and off thousands of times per second, delivering power only when needed. In other words, the amplifier is either fully on or fully off, which significantly reduces power losses from the output devices given off as heat. Less heat means this amp doesn™t need a massive heat sink, which keeps it lighter. The B1800D-PRO's design delivers full power with incredible fidelity all night long, without the need for lengthy rest cycles.

When used in conjunction with switching-mode power supplies, which don™t require huge and heavy transformers, BEHRINGER's Class-D amplifiers provide tremendous dynamic punch and superior fidelity.

Custom-Designed Transducers
Since the transducers (woofers and tweeters) are the only part of a sound system you actually hear, BEHRINGER custom-designs and builds their transducers from scratch. Not only do they wind their own voice coils, they process the paper pulp into cones and even machine their own backplates.

Take control
The B1800D-PRO features balanced XLR inputs and outputs, as well as balanced XLR THRU jacks for connecting additional enclosures. A BOOST FREQUENCY knob targets a boost frequency between 45Hz and 90Hz. Flick the BOOST switch to give your selected frequency a +6 dB boost. These subs also feature a HIGH CUT dial to control the upper corner frequency for the subwoofer' amplifier. The HIGH CUT dial does not affect the THRU signals, only signals directed to the subwoofer (however, it does affect the signals sent out through the Output sockets of the subwoofer to reach the full-range speakers). A LEVEL knob controls the input gain, and the PHASE switch reverses output phase to compensate for frequency cancellation between the subwoofer and satellite speakers. LEDs show operational status at a glance, including power, signal present, and input overloads.

  • 1400W Class-D amplifier with comprehensive over-excursion, thermal, and clip limit protection
  • 18'' long-excursion transducer with high-temperature voice coil provides accurate, pulse-pounding bass
  • Extremely high sound pressure level (126dB half space 1W @ 1m)
  • Precise reproduction of ultra-low frequencies (35-150Hz) for "bulletproof" punch and impact
  • Built-in active stereo crossover provides high-pass filtered outputs for full-range loudspeakers
  • Tunable and switchable Bass Boost plus Phase switch for ultimate low-frequency performance
  • Variable High Cut control for perfect sound alignment

Incredible Bass if your on a budget.

By Brad

Comments about Behringer EUROLIVE B1800D-PRO Active 18" Subwoofer:

I went to Guitar Center on 8/29/11 to trade in a pair of my Peavey 118's, a Crown XLS602, and a Peavey 23XO Crossover. They gave me almost what I needed to buy one of these Behringer B1800D Subs. I was really skeptical as the salesman wouldn't push these anywhere near the limit when he was showing me. With butterflies in my stomach, I traded and brought one home thinking I will buy a second if it meets my expectations. WOW, was I surprised. 1 of these subs sounds way better than my Peavey's together. I am going back this week to buy the second. Definitely follow the instructions when setting up, then tweak from there. I believe this unit weighs 120lbs so be ready for that. As far as looks go, out of all the subs on display, this one caught my eye the most. As stated in the previous review, the Xlr output's and thru's could fit a lot tighter. If your on a tight budget, this is the Sub for you. One of these will really go a long way.

Skeptical about buying? READ THIS!!!!!

Comments about Behringer EUROLIVE B1800D-PRO Active 18" Subwoofer:

First off I am going to say I was not sure of the Behringer brand because of some people saying that their products are not going to last... and all I can say is WRONG! This woofer hits extremely hard and shakes everything and I mean EVERYTHING. It has such great response to low frequencies and not making them sound muffled or muddy. The "mixer" on the back has some very nice feature that include a high cut (Choose where to cut off the frequency so no vocals play through the woofer), a signal boost (Controls how much its boosts the signal when the boost switch is turned on) and last but not least the volume knob. The inputs range from an input, through (A male XLR that puts out the exact same signal that is going into the woofer) and a male XLR that is like the through but cuts off the frequency at 100 so it is perfect for daisy chaining woofers. This woofer is easily one of the best ones on the market, I would rather use this one then most of the JBL and QSC ones. So with this woofer there is only one draw back and it is its weight... It is clocked in at I believe 82 pounds and it is just wide enough where its kinda awkward to do by yourself. Thank you for taking the time to read this! if you have any questions about it from a happy Behringer user email me @

Great for the money

Comments about Behringer EUROLIVE B1800D-PRO Active 18" Subwoofer:

Sounds better with more power than way more expensive subs. High cut for outputs is very greatly helps sound for top monitors. Bass boost is worthless to me, but others might find it handy. Definitely heavy. Xlr output's and thru's could fit a lot tighter, to the extent one fell out on a heavier bass line. The button does not stay clipped.

Awesome for PA, even better for home theater!

By Vijay Rajaram

Comments about Behringer EUROLIVE B1800D-PRO Active 18" Subwoofer:

The bass on this sub is TIGHT, as tight as it can ever be. I've heard many HT subs, none can come close to the 1800D in terms of tightness and accuracy. Performs very nicely in the 35 hz range. I compared this to a sub that costed $100 more, this one was way better in all aspects. This sub is quite a steal indeed, sometimes companies price certain models way below their actual MSRP for god knows why, and this is one such item.. This sub hits lower than 99% of HT subs available in the market today. There are some subs like the KRK S series that hit slightly lower than the Behringer, however the Behringer puts out an incredible amount of detail in it's output.

Comments about Behringer EUROLIVE B1800D-PRO Active 18" Subwoofer:

I've used several other brands like JBL, EV, peavey, Yorkville, etc and the bass that comes out of this Sub woofer is excellent for the money. Honestly, I was shocked that Behringer products were this good.

Comments about Behringer EUROLIVE B1800D-PRO Active 18" Subwoofer:

Ok I do quinces, weddings sweet sixteens etc. I have 2. Jbl. Dual 15's. The. TTR225. Pushing with a crown amp. I originally bought one of these. For a quince. At a huge. Hall for. Bout 350 peeps at least. I had 2 harbinger 18's. Non powered. Pushed by a. Old. Peavy. Amp. And one side of my Peavy burned out that's why I bought one of these. I get to my gig and come to find out the other side of my Peavy burned out two so I had to fake my harbinger being connected and used. I was terrified that my customer was gonna say I wasn't loud enough, instead after I setup I was doing a sound check, the customer walks in comes straight to the stage and says Dayum them 2 subs are banging hard. He said I was vibrating the whole side of the building. I was impressed, this Berliner fooled my customer into thinking it was two subs. So I just bought my second one. Don't bother with the Mackie 18"s nothing at guitarcenter will hit louder unless it's a dual sub. Save ur money get this one. I guarantee u won't be disappointed.

Great on a budget

By Samir Thaker

Comments about Behringer EUROLIVE B1800D-PRO Active 18" Subwoofer:

This sub is good if you're on a tight budget. Nice thump to it :) However you'll need 2 if you're playing in venues of 300+ people. Just a heads up... The JBL Prx618-XLF and QSC KW181 blow this sub out of the water. Also this sub weighs a ton, is large, and bulky. Despite the 1400 watts this sub claims to be, you are not going to get the "chest thumping" bass if thats what you're going for. Overall 4/5 since the price is amazing. I bought mine for $600

the best (BANG) for the buck

By phillip hutsell

Comments about Behringer EUROLIVE B1800D-PRO Active 18" Subwoofer:

I went into guitar center looking foe some bottom end for my dj system. i am running 2 EV sv 500 off my crown amp and i went in to test subs for my system. the sales person was so set on the peavy sub that he was ready to roll it out the back. when i ask him to hear the behringer. man there was so much off a difference that he had to admit he was wrong all along. i had my first gig last night in a building with capacity off 500 (no small venue) and i tell you the windows was rattling and bottles was literally falling off the shelf at the bar. Man this speaker is incredible i plan to get another one soon. the only down side is (EAT YOU WHEETIES) because its a beast to move. what i did was get a funiture dolly and strap it on the bottom for it to be able to roll. great investment for you system i do highly reccomend this speaker. make sure you get the extended warranty to cover yourself P.S. my advice is turn the speaker to face the wall and place it about 5 feet away and watch the pictures fall off.

Fine piece of equipment right here

By curt beasley

Comments about Behringer EUROLIVE B1800D-PRO Active 18" Subwoofer:

I front and run sound for a 4 piece country/rock cover band. Ive had a few powered and non powered subs over the past few years and I think this is the best sounding one. For the money I dont think there is a better deal out there. Its a fairly new purchase so fingers crossed that it will prove to be road worthy and tough. Kick drum and bass sound great through it. I play an ipod on breaks and it sounds excellent too.
