The SX2442FX EURODESK mixer is designed to meet the needs of studio and live mixing applications, with a comprehensive set of features that combine sonic excellence and a full complement of mixing and sound modification tools.
This 4-bus mixer features ultralow noise, high-headroom XENYX microphone preamps. 24 channels (20 mono, 2 stereo). Mono input channels feature three-band, semi-parametric mid-range EQ with Neo-classic "British" response. Stereo input channels provide precise four-band equalization. Each input has four aux sends with two sends switchable between pre/post fader, for a flexible mix of monitor and effects applications.
External signal processing racks can be largely eliminated, thanks to the two integrated effects processors and stereo 9-band graphic EQ. One-hundred 24-bit / 96kHz studio-quality effects presets can be called-up and assigned to one or both internal effects buses. Main or Monitor output EQ is set and fine-tuned with the intuitive FBQ Feedback Detection display.
When external processing is required, Behringer's SX Series provides extensive insert patch-points for input channels and main outputs. The mixer's Master section offers a wealth of features such as multiple aux and stereo returns, switchable SIP / PFL monitoring, Talkback, metering and more.
An internal auto-ranging power supply (100 240V), gold-plated XLR output connectors and rugged steel construction ensure that this EURODESK console will travel anywhere to tackle any recording or mixing task, with pristine audio quality and a minimum of external gear.

Typical Behringer, you might get a unit that works ok for a while. While it works you'll say "see B is good stuff"! Then it dies. Have had two effects units go out on these boards. It now just spits random effects onto the main bus even with all FX sends off and the FX engine turned off (no outputs turned up)... making the board totally unreliable and useless. Spend a little extra on something that will last.
The first mixer that I received had to be replaced because of a bad stereo channel. My GC salesperson went to work and had a replacement to me in 3(that's right 3) days. Customer service is thru the roof! The replacement is performing on all cylinders and has all concerned noticing the improvement in sound quality over what we were using. I am suitably impressed with the functions and quality of the SX2442FX. And for the relatively small investment I made in the product I don't believe you could find a better deal or a better functioning product. Thanks to GC and Behringer.
I purchased Euro Desk 5000, about 1 1/2 yrs. ago. Didn't think I'd need the warranty extension. Barley used this unit,'cause I wasn't in a group or even jamming. Now I'm having trouble with the right side power amp completely going out. I've contacted 3 different repair shops, & I'm told that Behringer is having power amp troubles. Behringer won't stand behind the product, & allow repair shops to have the new replacement power amps or even the manuals. My understanding, is that the closest Behringer service shop for me, is in Chicago. I can't afford to ship unit to them, & @ $4.30 a gal., I can't even afford to make the trip to deliver. I'd have to go all the way to Chicago 2nd time to pick unit up. (2hrs.44min one way) I'm calling Behringer this week, to see what the deal is. And my brother purchased a step down from my mixer, & his left side has gone out!!! I feel like I'm stuck with a lemon, & my brother & I aren't the only ones. I will never buy another Behinder product again, & won't recommend anyone who sees this, don't buy Behringer products.
I've been using this board for almost two years now, and I have to say it was a great starter board...WAS...STARTER. A few months of use and the built in fx unit started making noise when in use, I looked at the reviews already written here and someone else had a similar issue with TWO of these boards. Also, the master fader isn't properly tuned, in order to run a near unity signal from chanel fader, to master fader, to amp signal level, I have to set the master fader to minus 7 ish before I can bring chanel faders over minus 15 without clipping the amps. Side note, I am well aware of how to set up gain structure pre fader, so this is either a manufacturing issue or specific to this exact board I'm not sure. This phantom power system that is super hyped up in the brochure is an ALL-ON/ALL-OFF, system. So if you want to use condensor mics along with standard dynamic mics, ie sm57, you'll need to use the batteries in the mic, otherwise you'll feed way too much voltage to your dynamics using the boards phantom power. That all being said if you've got work in a tiny little bar full of drunks who can't hear the sonic difference between a sure sm58 and soup cans connected with string, then this board isn't all that terrible... I wouldn't use it in anything larger than corner pubs and house parties. If you can afford it, start with a nicer board and cheaper everything else, it's annoying to have decent speakers, mics, and amps, and a board that fizzes with no active signal going through it.
I purchased this mixer in February of 2010 and loved the features for the price. Seven months later and I was back in a Guitar Center asking for a replacement after built-in effects not only died but were causing all manners of feed back and noise; even when they were seemingly shut off. I was happy to see the replacement unit work, but it's been eight months and the built-in effects are on the fritz again. The built in effects were never the greatest, but they're interfering with the normal use of the mixer and that's just unacceptable. I didn't give it one star only because it was a great mixer for the months before it just stopped working. This mixer was purchased for a church.
Me and my dad bought this mixer for our live sound production company. I have a mackie onyx 1220 in my home studio and I loved the sound from that board but we just needed a higher channel count for the projects we're doing. I was skeptical because I had a behringer bass amp that was pretty poor quality, but my dad insisted on this one. This mixer on the other hand is great quality, everything from the pre-amps and the very clean signal path to the added built in fx processors. Compared to the onyx, I found that I could hear a slight difference in the xenyx preamp in a studio setting and no apparent difference at all in a live setting, and in the studio I still really liked the xenyx preamp. The features are great; talkback mic, subgroup channel faders and outs, graphic eq/feedback removal, etc... I think that if I was introduced to this board 2 years ago I probably wouldnt have bought the onyx, even though I still love that little mixer. When you consider that you get all these features and ease of use and you don't have to sacrifice ANYTHING in sound quality, this mixer just makes a lot of sense for the price.
