Overall I'm pleased with the Behringer BTR2000. The features are excellent for the price. I particularly like the lights projecting on the equipment below the tuner-- this feature alone would cost more than the tuner itself. A little problem for bassists- I cannot get the tuner to respond to the low "B" string. I have to tune it harmonically at the octave fret. Because my basses hold their tune very well (graphite necks) this is a minor inconvenience for me, but be aware.

Bought this unit about 1 week ago and while there are many features its main feature is done poorly. It works great for tuning 6-string guitars in standard tuning only. I play 7-string guitars in my progressive rock project and this unit very has a very hard time picking up the low B string which is a shame considering a cheapo quick-tune does a better job at that then this unit. It is however great at tuning anything else. The light is also a nice feature. Because it does not tune so well I have placed it in my studio rack and am using it mainly as a metronome for practice. If you need an accurate tuner for your gigging rack DON'T GET THIS as it is not reliable enough for road use. It does however have very good value but you get what you pay for...

It works

Comments about Behringer BTR2000 2-Channel RACKTUNER and Metronome:

Pretty good tuner, I play with a passive Ibanez ICB-200 bass and our band tunes to C standard, so far the tuner has not let me down as other reviews have stated a problem with low frequencies. The bottom lights are a great addition, for the price and if you're in a budget, you won't be let down.

Nice addition to my rack.

By gerald jones

Comments about Behringer BTR2000 2-Channel RACKTUNER and Metronome:

I run my guitars directly into this and out to either my Sans Amp or Digitech 2101. Adds nothing to the signal. Tunes very accurately, although it seems to take a moment to warm up to it. You don't need to leave it on either, as the signal still flows through when it's off. I just press it on to freshen up the tuning. It has a bunch of features I don't and won't ever use, but as a tuner it's terrific, with several tuning options, and the addition of the rack lights is very nice too. Overall a nice purchase.

The best on the market today

By Mark

from Elm Grove WI

Comments about Behringer BTR2000 2-Channel RACKTUNER and Metronome:

I've had my BTR2000 for a month. It works great. Use mainly for guitar but dabble with a 5 string base every now and then. Have no problems of any kind tuning any of my instruments. You do have to read the manual to understand how the unit operates. Each button does more than one thing. The coarse tune/fine tune feature is great and very sensitive. The fine tune requires a light tough- so if you're a ham fisted monkey you might have trouble it. I dumped my Boss stomp box tuner after using the BTR2000. The tone it passes through to my rig is clean and unaltered. Maximum flexibility, maximum features, minimum price- the trifecta of value, plus it looks cool and provides great lighting for my rack. I recommend this unit to anyone who is serious about being in tune.

If you don't buy this you are foolish

By Taco

Comments about Behringer BTR2000 2-Channel RACKTUNER and Metronome:

For the price I was like "Yeah not bad. I just need a cheap one." When it arrived, I was blown out of the water. All the options and features surpassed my expectancy. The LED lighting kit looks cool too. I would buy another one to have another one just for back up. This product has helped me make up my mind to get rid of all my pedals.

Great Price Quality Calibration

By Tim

from Brandon, FL

Comments about Behringer BTR2000 2-Channel RACKTUNER and Metronome:

I purchased this rack tuner as a test. I wasn't sure if the tuning calibration would be true to other tuners but I was pleasantly surprised. Not only does the tune match up to Boss and Korg but the audio frequency response from the tuner to the preamp is clean and full. Also the rack light is a great idea. I would recommend this tuner to anyone who is unable to spend a lot of money but wants great gear.

GREAT TUNER

By dAtaZniNvAziN256

from Marlboro

Comments about Behringer BTR2000 2-Channel RACKTUNER and Metronome:

This tuner is great. It's not one of those super sensitive ones that is just impossible to tune with, it is very accurate, and makes tuning a breeze. Without having to disconnect cables and replug them into your amp, this tuner is like a midway point, where you can plug your guitar output into it, and then use another cable to connect the output from the tuner into your amp. It is a great tuner for the price, and if you are trying to find a rack tuner, stop looking. Heres the one that you wanna use, cause it not only sounds and works great...it has a stylish look that makes a bass player look really slick. =)

Nice features

By 6stringmetal

from Highland, IL

Comments about Behringer BTR2000 2-Channel RACKTUNER and Metronome:

I just put the Behringer BTR 2000 in my guitar rack and love it. Not only a tuner AND a good metrenome, but a source of light for any equipment underneath the unit. The LED lights work perfect for seeing switches on my Dbx EQ on dark stages. The tuning modes work great for different instruments, even banjos and mandolins, which I don't use but it's nice to know I can. 2 channels is great for tuning 2 different instruments back and forth without having to unplug. It also has a mic for acoustic instruments. The mute button very handy for a professional look onstage without making everybody listen to you tune. However, one flaw I've found using a Drop C tuning is that it's hard to get the low C to pickup, so I have to manually tune that string. But, for the price, a very good piece of equipment.
