Little Box...Little price...BIG results. rad the rest of the reviews, everything is right about this item. It does so much more than promised that I almost felt guilty...Well, not really, but you get the point! I am a drummer and wanted an in-ear monitor so I could control my won volumes. Works great with my noise cancelling headphones. Almost TOO well as the first time I played, I could barely hear the bass, guitars or even my drums very well until I did some tweaking. Now the guys have me feed their monitors, too. Don't pass this up!
Purchased this for our studio. Was tired of leaving practice with my head hurting from volume issues. (In comes the Behringer mini amp.) Took it to the studio and everyone in the band loves it. Loud enough to hear over the drums. Great for recording sessions. Probably going to buy another one to add to the studio.
I purchased this unit last week because of balancing issues on stage at our new church. This little unit solved several problems at once for me. We can now balance the music and vocals and we don't need as many monitors on stage. It was WELL worth the money!
I first purchased the Presonus HP4 because I needed it right away. I also ordered the Behringer. I figured I would compare them both. and return the one I didn't like. At half the price of the Presonus, the Behringer has more features (I love the "More Me" feature, because my keyboadist is half deaf and now he can have his own mix). The Behringer also has a warmer tone. The Presonus has more power, but the Behringer has plenty enough. Buy the Behringer and save $50 bucks!
I picked up this miniamp from guitar center last week and it has been a breath of fresh air. Having the freedom to independantly control the volume in different headphones is priceless. I have a home studio with a pro tools mbox, I have had no problems. For a home studio on a budget, You just cant beat the price!
All in all a great product for the money, only thing we had trouble with was the documentation. No where in the docs can you find that the balanced TRS input in mono will allow you to convert stereo to mono by bringing in left and right with an insert connector adapter. Caused some grief as we attempted to get it to work, finally just decided to try it and it worked. Obvious actually but it would be nice to have the docs tell you that so you can just get the adapter and plug it in instead of trying everything else first. The shipping capabilities in the GC checkout were poor, could not tell how it would be shipped or by what means until after the order was entered, very poor considering the capabilities of every other major retailers sites.
This thing has so many more features than the "headphone mixer" in the GC stores for the exact same price. It does exactly what it says, clean and clear sound from 2 stereo inputs to 8 stereo outputs. This final piece of my home studio (after some headphone extension cords) means we're all set up for recording.
I got it 2 weeks ago and have had no problem. It works great, and is worth the money.
If you don't have a sound booth, and want to record a vocalist in the same room, AND want to listen to the recording session, this is the way to go folks!! Not only that, 8 listeners can actually listen to the session because this little gadget has 8 total earphone outputs (4 in front with volume control, 4 on back with out control). The cool little LED's help make your recording studio look awesome and it's a cool peice of equipment to simply add to your studio. I highly reccommend this item big-time!!!
I used a micro headphone amp for several years and it died at the most inopportune time. Needing to replace this product for minimal cost, I bought it. I'm impressed. It is far superior than my previous amp and cost less. Now keep in mind you get what pay for. There are many more amps that deliver much better and are costly; but if you're like me, a musician on a budget, this is a great addition to your home studio.
