PokerFly says you gotta have it!

I've been shopping for a nice litle mixer to do some home recording with as well as use in a band. After looking and looking tirelessly at all sorts of models this unit just has them all beat hands down! All kinds of fantastic options, routings, the 4 band EQ on each channel strip as well as the 9 band Graphic EQ and the 99 onboard effects gives you the sounds you need that are just way to hard to beat for this price. Also, it has a voice cancel device that lets you practice your vocals with the band still playing in the background or even use it in a karoke situation and make yourself a one man band. Overall I'd have to say the only other board I really considered was the 2442FX but decided all I really needed was the 18 channels this provides, plus you've got 6 inserts and several output options. This is your mixer if you plan on some home recording and also using it live with a small group of 3 to 5 musicians. Feel free to contact me if you also own one and would like to share info.

GREAT MIXER

I recently got this mixer for some home recording, and maybe a little live sound. Its blowing my mind. The FX are amazing to work(play?) with, and there are sub-mixes as well as main and monitor. My complaints: 1 - it takes too many steps to get one channel into the mix (turn it up, click main and solo, turn off lo-cut, etc) 2 - the faders for each channel also seem to control the level of FX for that channel on monitors. 3 - the FX take unneccesary steps to get into the mix.
