Flexibility & Quality packed into this unit!

As a mobile DJ/musician I wanted to get a quality "middle of the line" mixer with 100 24-bit digital effects to spice things up a bit without breaking the piggy bank. I carefully viewed & tested many different mixers but for the price I found none better than the Behringer Xenyx 1204FX. Here's why: I love the L/R separate main slide faders along with the Alt 3/4 option faders I use for the volume of my powered sub to fine tune volume levels. Also, I have the possibility to connect up to 8 mics/instruments/aux players and not only that but I have amazing precision control of each and every one of them w/ or w/o effects. I've done some gigs with live bands and let me tell you it was a nightmare trying to get every line matched up and not have any lines clipping. With this unit it is very easy to set input levels with the trim/Pre Fader Level (PFL) and test each one independently with the Solo fxn to eliminate clipping to have each line sounding awesome! Also, the stereo Aux sends & returns are perfect for recording. The Xenyx series Behringer mixers are packed with features and components you will only find in top quality products costing usually much more. The "British EQ" really does sound much warmer than other eq's and the 4 main mic channels are perfectly matched to every conceivable mic with up to 60 dB gain and +48 v phantom power supply. Let me just say that I had significant "hiss" in my system before but with this unit it sounds crystal clear with a wide bandwith (10-200 Hz) and 130 dB dynamic range for mics. The Xenyx mixers also are equipped with a state-of-the-art switched-mode power supply (SMPS) which provides extremely efficient optimum current regardless of the input voltage unlike conventional circuitry. Whether you?re in a band, DJ, church, recording studio or just love to have COMPLETE CONTROL over you?re music this is a fantastic option without breaking the bank.

Best bang for the buck!

Behringer 1204FX, I bought mine last January 2006 to replace an old Peavey mixer with no effects that a friend had given to me, the slide controls were broken. so after 6 months of that I thought why not go shoping, So I saw this Behringer 1204FX with effects and it was all she wrote it was neet and compact enough to fit were I needed it to. October 2006. I took it out for band practice last night and again tonight. Last night (first time out) it "paid for itself 10 fold" the other two guys in our band "BrandX" and I invested in a pair of Behringer B300 powered speakers and well I tell you what. I'm so happy with this little mixer. For little gigs or just for around the house with headphones you can't go wrong. I'm very impressed. Thanks Behringer!
