No workhorse, but great for side projects.

For the price you pay, this is a great little mixer. I use mine for podcasting and have absolutely no complaints about it. However: This mixer should not be your main mixer for any heavy work. I've heard they crap out after a year or so of heavy use. If you need a heavy use mixer, you're just going to have to spend the extra cash on one.

Dont let this offer pass!!!

All I can say is wow. When I ordered it I wasn't expecting much, but boy was I wrong. This item is perfect for the home studio that you want to get started. No it doesn't have your nice features such as 4 different effect inputs, but why would I expect that. DO NOT let this one slip by you if you want a cheap and good quality mixer.

great mixer

I bought a Xenyx 1202 while back cause I needed an extra mixer for practice and submixing prior to going into my PC. I really was suprised at how quiet the pre's were on here and it has turned out to be a rather good little mixer for just about anything I need it for. No it won't replace my expensive vocal rack gear, so I haven't tried running a mic through it, but for the price you can't go wrong with this one, it's another amazing Behringer deal where you'd easily pay twice the price for something similar from another manufacturer.
