  • Wonderful acoustic amplifier.

As reviewed by Khawaja Jodat on 7/17/2007

I am extremely impressed with its overall quality as far sound, features, design and build quality is concerned. It has a rich/bright/crispy/punchy and most natural acoustic sound I have ever heard. I use Ovation CS-257 electric acoustic guitar, Fender D-6 12 string guitar by using a Seymour Duncan Woody and Yamaha FG-470S acoustic guitar with similar arrangement. It makes each guitar sound so attractive that its hard for me to put down my guitar. It has got wonderful effects especially Reverb, Chorus, Tremolo, Phaser, Flanger and Delay. The tonal re- shaping on this amp is endless. I do suggest to use a good quality electric acoustic guitar with this amp if you really want to get the full performance of its superior sound quality. I love this amp because it is so beautiful and one of the most versatile acoustic amp in the market. Please try for yourself because Hearing is believing.

  • This amp was a huge let down

As reviewed by disappointed on 2/17/2009

I was in the market for an acoustic amp that would allow me to play small to medium size venues and I conducted about a week of internet research as well as playing multiple amps to find the one that was right for me. Unfortunately, my local shops didn't have this amp so I based my purchase mainly on the reviews and the value of the amp. As soon as I opened the box, I was surprised at how small the amp actually was. After plugging up, I immediately knew I had made a mistake. The sound was tinny and thin no matter how hard I played with the EQ. As soon as you push this amp past three, the two eight inch speakers sound overdriven and useless. You should definitely play this amp before purchasing, though I recommend forgoing it all together. The Ibanez 50wer sounds so much better.
