  • Much Better Than Expected

As reviewed by Bruce Kelly on 4/9/2008

After significant research into an entry level acoustic amplifier for my new Martin guitar, I decided on the ACX450. In particular I was interested in two channels, RCA aux inputs, digital sound processing, and a price tag under $200. What the ACX450 provides is all of that plus a graphic equalizer, a tremendeous sound, and a compact size, however it is surprizingly heavy. It is a much better amplifier than I expected, better even than what I would have expected from similar but lower power output products priced in the $350 to $500 range. I recently played with the amp in a large room and the sound filled the space projecting a rich bass. If I need to move up, which I doubt, I will stick with Behringer.

  • WOW and at this price

As reviewed by Bikemike on 3/16/2009

I went into different stores with my guitar and tried this amp, a Marshall, Fishman solo amp, Crate Telluride and a Fender Acoustasonic. I really didn't like the sound of the Fender or Marshall. And there wasn't really any difference between this amp and the Fishman except the volume. The Crate was nice but three times the price. The This amp lets the guitar sound through without adding anything unless you want it to. I play a classical guitar allot and wanted it to sound like I was in my living room and this amp delivers.

  • Behringer Ultracoustic ACX450 Acoustic Guitar Amplifier

As reviewed by R. Campbell on 4/17/2009

This amp is just what the doctor ordered for senior citizens like myself and anyone with disabilities who can no longer carry those big heavy amps any more. It's great for small gigs because you can run both the guitar and a microphone through the same amp at the same time, eliminating the need for a seperate sound system. Whether you are playing alone or in a small band the 45 watts is plenty for a bar, or restaurant.
