The best bass amp under 50w

This amp was really good when I first tried it out. I didn't buy it because I didn't have enough money to use on non-important stuff. Not to say that rocking isn't important I thought it was so awesome that I needed to buy, but I couldn't. My friend has one and I tried that out it was couple years old though, but it still had the amazing sound I got at Guitar Center in Edina, MN. Then I tried it out with a overdrive pedal, it sounded totaly awesome! I don't think I can find a better afordable bass practice amp!

awsome little amp

ive had the bxl45 for a couple of years now and i love the sound that i can get from it when i play my 4st bass it handles all the low notes and high notes of a 4st but when i play my 5 or 6 string basses it starts to fart out on the low b string at quarter volume but is great with the high c string great for home practice with all kinds of basses i have used this for a session when my ampeg 810 crapped out on me and i was waiting for my carvin 810 to come in with a few of my friends and it can keep up with a half stack when using a 4 string and its built like a tank it fell down a flight of stairs and all that is wrong with it is one of the eq caps fell off it didnt even dent the grill if it where stolen i would buy another one and the best part its under $200 with crisp clean sound what more can you ask for ?

Just Enough

I ordered this amp to replace a Road 440 Bass that I sold in the Fall. It was huge and heavy w/ 18" speaker. Got it cheap and it sounded great but not practical for my intended use. The Behringer Ultrabass BXL450 does the job without blowing the roof off the house. Great for casual playing with plenty of features. The 10" speaker produces clean sound and 45W is more than adequate. I would recommend this amp to anyone that is looking for an inexpensive yet a quality built product. Thinking of buying a 2nd one and running them in tandem.
