Allen KV Loves this Keyboard

When i got it delivered by UPS first thing i did is, I plugged it in as quickly as i could... Main Idea - This thing is heavy and hard construction with a Sensitive Velocity, depends how hard you press on the keys.. You can rock with it even if you are not a professional keyboard player because you can change your recorded takes in your midi track or instrument track also.. and you can put the option in your software called "auto quantize" this makes your takes sequenced by the rhythm with your settings (BPM, USER quantize and stuff etc...) You can jam with sounds and when i say jam it means you will be addicted to it... Since yesterday i got this till today i left the studio only once to play soccer and i immediately came back because i wanted to use the keyboard, lol... It has 50 VSTS also... that's all freeware so you don't need to be excited of this product because of the VSTs the keyboard itself is the main thing to be excited of... also i forgot to say that you can record your automations with it: Pitch band, Modulation, Cutoff, Resonance, Reverb mix, attack, decay, sustain, and different user's automations as well.... you have the volume fader that allows you to set the perfect mixing for your recorded track with the keyboard.... so this is a real affordable product and it has a damn good quality so order it online right now !!! - Allen KV.... www.myspace.com/pdsketches

Great Keys!

WHAT I NEEDED: A compact, 61 key controller with good keys, assignable knobs and buttons, under $200, with a shallow depth so I could fit it in a small space on my desk. It came down to this and the m-audio Keystation 61es I was extremely nervous that they didn't carry this keyboard in stores, and only sold it online. My main concern was quality of the key-feel. There was no way to physically touch the keys and see if keys were cheap and flimsy (like the new cheaper m-audio models. But it had knobs and buttons unlike the m-audio versions (some m-audio models boast 'semi-weighted keys' and they feel pretty good). I figured if the product description didn't mention a good key feel, it was because they were hiding cheap construction. Thankfully, one review above of the Behringer UMX61 mentioned 'solid keys' and that's all I had to go on, so I took the plunge on the trust of one reviewer. I just got it from GC online yesterday, and the key action is great!!! MUCH better than I expecter. It's better than my old m-audio Keystation 49e with 'semi-weighted' keys (which were very nice). Also better feeling key action than the yamaha KX-61 USBI checked out (the mod and bend wheels are much better on the behringer than the yamaha, though the yamaha has more buttons and functions, but is rather large and doesn't fit into my workspace). And it's less expesive than both of the others. I highty recommend this controller. ---

Excellent quality/price ratio for beginner

I was just looking for a keyboard to practice piano and maybe use to compose some music, but I ended up getting alot more from this keyboard. The combination of controls that the keyboard provides and sounds/instruments that come with it provide so many options that I have yet to explore it all after the first week. While I'm sure it's not as great as something a professional would use, I think it is superb for a beginner or someone who just wants to play around.

Quite satisfied

I've had this controller for a month and am enjoying it a lot. It is sturdy and the keys have a solid feel, and since I am not a pianist with a sensitive touch, I am glad that I can adjust the key sensitivity so that the volume of my chords is the same no matter how hard or lightly I press the keys. I am using it as a controller for Garageband, and it worked perfectly right out of the box.
