Red hot sound in a compact pink pedal.

The Behringer Heavy Metal HM300 effects pedal produces the huge, slicing guitar tone that, until now, was only available from high-gain amps cranked to the point just before meltdown.

With its ultra-high gain circuitry, the HM300 gives you rude and rowdy distortion for the fierce rhythm chops and searing leads, plus virtually endless sustain.
Its dedicated Distortion, Low, High and Level controls allow you to sculpt your own trademark metal tone, from deep and brooding to crisp and furious. A status LED tells you when this beast is activated, and a top-quality on/off switch maintains incredible signal integrity in bypass mode.

Behringer Heavy Metal HM300 Distortion Guitar Effects Pedal Features:

  • Extreme and highly sought-after hard rock/heavy metal distortion of the 80s
Ultra-high gain circuitry for thick, obscene distortion with endless sustain
Dedicated distortion 2-band EQ and Level controls
    Status LED
Powered by a 9-volt battery or a PSU-SB DC power supply (not included)
High signal integrity in bypass mode
    High-quality components and construction

  • The packaging describes the tone as being "Thick."

As reviewed by Nate Marek on 4/22/2014

Soooo... Behringer Heavy Metal HM300 Pedal. Very interesting use of $25. The packaging describes the tone as being "Thick." Thick is a way of putting it. Muddy is a better way of putting it. Next to no hair or grit in this thing. If there were such thing as smooth, heavy distortion, this would be its maker. Yeah, it's got lots of gain. It has a Low and Mid knob, but no High knob, because "High" just isn't coming out the other end of this thing. It is supposed to mimic the Boss HM-2 Heavy Metal. Yeah, I can see that, to a degree... The Swedish Death Metal sound is low, deep, heavy, and brutal. This can do low, deep, and heavy. I think it actually sounds better with all except the Volume knob to 11, but with the guitar on the neck pickup and mellowed WAY out. It's almost dark bluesy like that. Like I said.. interesting. Oh, black matte spraypaint is happening. Not having THIS color draw attention to itself on my board.
