  • Roland GR300 VCF Control dream

As reviewed by Joe Bartone on 7/2/2010

I play the GR300 (Pat Metheny's guitar synth). This pedal works fantastic as a VCF controller. Built like a tank and has the harder-to-find 50k pot. Using the CV out, build a cable using TSR connectors. F100 (use a right angle connector) White = Ring Red = Ground GR300 end (Straight connector) White = Ground Red = Tip you get increased highs and lows out of the VCF and it makes a fantastic Wah effect. Wanye Joness turned me on to using this pedal.

  • Great QUIET Pedal

As reviewed by Paul from Texas on 8/3/2011

Why would an aging keyboard player want to replace his super-lightweight stereo pedals for something that is much heavier and requires an external power supply? Simple. These pedals are voltage coupled and are incredibly smooth and studio-quality quiet. I have three complete PA system setups, and I use two of these pedals with each of my PA systems to control stereo secondary voices such as strings and organ sounds. They are fantastic! I was having to replace my potentiometer-based pedals anywhere for 18 months to a year, because thee pots would get scratchy, or just flat wear out. No such problem here! What's more, you cannot beat the price! These consume very little power, so even a small wall wart can easily power the two pedals in my setup. A bargain!!!!

  • Works GREAT for my Bass Guitar!

As reviewed by S. Carter on 1/24/2011

I use this pedal as a volume control for my Bass. It is placed it between my Bass and my Digitech BP-200 to control my volume without removing my hand(s) from the instrument (the expression pedal on the BP-200 is only used for the effects level adjustment). Now I can change my volume in mid-song for those "quiet" passages. The weight of this pedal and the rubberized foot and base surfaces make sure it stays where I put it and my foot doesn't slip off. I play for church services and had to change the 9V battery only once in the last year! If you are using internal battery power - make sure you unplug your cables from this device when you are not using it to turn it off. For longer "concerts" find the AC adapter (not included). I like it so much that I'm buying a second one for my guitar "effects chain"!
