No matter how hard I tried I could not lower the latency enough to make recording tolerable. The interface did not work with my cakewalk recording software so I assume it may not work with many major recording suites. The included demo software was attrocious, and the upgrade to a full version was expensive. I love behringer, and the company provides there own free software to accomadate many of their products. The FCA202 F-control was a huge disapointment however, both software and hardware wise. After a few days of frustration I sent this back.
I could not install the FCA202 on my XP-64bit Windows machine, and when I looked into it I discovered Behringer is not providing support for 64bit machines, including those running on Vista. Just to use this interface, I reinstalled my whole system with a 32bit Windows XP Pro Corporate Edition (one of the most stable 32bit releases available). After hours or reinstalling, I found that the drivers would indeed install but no channels appear in any of my software. I can use the interface for audio output, but I cannot set it up as a recording device. It does not show up under Windows' recording properties nor can I access it through Ableton Live or any audio software for that matter. I put in a ticket on Behringer's site for support but I have been completely ignored.
I have been a big fan of Behringer products but I warn against anyone who buys a Behringer product as part of a computer recording setup. The drivers are incomplete and never get updated. Behringer offers no support and if you look into it you will see many users complaining across the forums about these same issues.
