A great mixer at a great price

With this 31 band EQ it is hard to tell how precise your music can sound. This unit notifys you if it can't handle the conditions. Simply re-adjust and thier you have , once again, clean, LOUD sound at an ever so affordable price. So if your a beginer or an advanced rookie, GET THIS EQ. It is well worth the money

A great unit for a PA

This unit is the same as the 15 band version except that it has a 31 band EQ giving the user even more control and flexibility. The Ultragraph has an feedback locating system, which helps the user boost, the volume to the maximum level without getting harsh distortion. Just boost the signal until the unit picks up a feedback warning, then adjust the EQ to eliminate it so that you can turn the volume level up even higher. Just like the 15 band unit this one also has the very useful subwoofer outlet with an adjustable crossover frequency so that you can get more punch from your system. This unit can make a PA system go from sounding cheap to sounding like a much more expensive system. The unit is constructed well and if treated properly is should provide years of reliable use.

Tweaker's dream!

I impulse purchased a Behringer FBQ3102 EQ at GC a few months back, and then stuffed it in my equipment rack for my home theater. Don't know how I lived without it. I'm feeding my mains through it, and after an evening of judicious tweakage, my "entry level" $300 home theater main speaks sound darn near as nice as my (considerably more expensive) magneplanars in my living room. I used the subwoofer out to route to a Crown XLS402 (also from GC) for a pair of subwoofers which are now under the mains - I can play louder now without worrying about destroying the mains - Gunshots sound like gunshots, and Miles sounds like Miles... My only gripes with it are the silver faceplate - The seventies were a LONG time ago... and it'd be nice to be able to turn off the lights without turning off the EQ... I'm also thinking that the "third order" crossover for the EQ may be a bit of wishful thinking... I had it dialed to approx 100hz, and with the mains amp off had vocals coming from the subs... So it's dialed down a little further now. It's still a darn nice feature tho, with both adjustable highpass and lowpass for the sub output.

More than what I expected.

My PA's overall sound greatly improved with this EQ. Very easy to use right out of the box. Feedback feature works well and the sub out with x-over is well appreciated. This product needs to be ventilated well.

EQ for beginners and pros

Don't let Behringers cheap prices fool you. This stuff is designed very well and will last a long time if it is rack-mounted and not mistreated. I use one channel for bass drum and the other for toms(my drummer runs a 4-channel behringer mixer for his toms and sends it to the house mix). This bad boy gives you 31 flavors to cut and boost at either +-6 or 12 db. That is a great option you don't see too much. I haven't used the feedback analyzer, but only because I haven't had to. It comes with a beginners guide to eq frequencies that actually helped me clean up my house sound. Great buy if you have the room in your rack, if not you can get the cheaper 15 band that sounds almost as good.
