Eurorack UB802 Review

This mixer is fairly good. Its quality is not the best, but if you are beginner it will get you through. I own one of these, and i own one of the 16 channels as well. The fact that it has two mic inputs is very nice, and its rugged steal design makes it like a tank. however the sound quality comes out not as great as it looks. It is a good device for beginners, and if you are a fairly experienced musician looking forward to grow in music, this might not be the best mixer for you. I would suggest this to people who just want to mess around at home, jam with friends etc., definitely not something i would use live.

Nice, inexpensive and viable temporary replacement

I purchased this unit last week for use with my MXL 990 mic (which i love) after my current setup was fried do to a short. I have to say, it's been disturbingly good. I replaced my $400 AKG mic and $500 8-channel mixer with this $40 Behringer and my $70 MXL990 and the sound shows hardly any difference in quality. I was shocked and depressed that I hadn't went this way before! The mixer just as much as the big units as far as the options and no degradation in sound quality. Very happy with it. I guess the age old saying "you get what you pay for" obviously doesnt apply in this case. Because I've no spent 100's less and its working as good if not better than my previous setup.

Great for recording of small groups!

This mixer isn't the ones you'll find at Skywalker Sound, but it is great for home recording enthusiasts who only need to record a couple channels at a time. Excellent quality and features for the price.

Try it.

I was looking for a cheap basic mixer and I found this Behringer Eurorack UB802 to be the answer. It is small and portable, 2 stereo inputs that meets my need and within my budget. The 3 band equalizer on each channel is a plus to this mixer.

Cheap price...and build quality.

I bought one of these a while back for one purpose - to run a pair of in-ear monitors for my band's drummer, so he could mix in a monitor feed and his metronome. For $39, you can't beat this little gadget, except for one thing - they break. I'm on my third unit, and while they're covered under warranty, having something like this go out during a gig isn't cool at all. That being said, maybe I've just been unlucky. The third one has been going fine for over 6 months now. For the price, though...nothing else even comes close to touching the value, if you can get one that works consistently.
